Great experience appearing live on TV on @MartinSLewis @itvMLshow tonight as their NHS pension expert Lot's of NHS pension questions received, shame we could only do a couple due to the time available You could probably do a whole show on NHS pensions!

Thanks for raising this. I was also surprised by Tony’s thread and disappointed by how our involvement was misrepresented, especially as we exchanged DMs yesterday, which I answered in good faith. I explained that we simply provided a calculation tool (which matched Tony’s own results penny for penny), I pointed out The Times’ error on not using the actuarially reduced figure, and confirmed that the assumptions and scenario came entirely from The Times (we also provided The Times a quote to counter their narrative). I even encouraged Tony to challenge the numbers, as they don’t “reflect the reality on the ground,” and said I agreed that healthcare workers are significantly undervalued. I was disappointed to see that turned into a personal attack. I don’t understand the motivation and hope it’s just a misunderstanding. I’ve privately asked him to provide a correction. Those who know me and know Medifintech know that we stand up for healthcare workers and have been instrumental in righting many wrongs with the NHS Pension, and we’ll continue to do so.

@goldstone_tony I am shocked Graham would put his name to these flawed calculations. Many Drs use Medifintech's services. Alas, I suspect colleagues would now seek the advice from the competition like @ForvisMazarsUK. Would appreciate @gdcuk responding to this thread

😞 Hugely disappointing that the 24/25 PSS deadline has been missed - with 23/24 PSSs and many RPSSs still outstanding. ⚠️ Also concerning that the new batch of RPSSs from NHSBSA no longer show the old growth - it really feels like we’re going backwards. 📉 This change not only makes it harder for members to check if action’s needed, but also removes a useful prompt for recalling old annual allowance charges (often missed from the HMRC data extract) that could now be refundable.

🚨 Don’t panic about the 6 July Mandatory Scheme Pays deadline🗓️ It doesn’t mean you can’t use Scheme Pays. ✅ Voluntary Scheme Pays is still available after this date. I raised this before, and again with HMRC’s policy team yesterday, suggested aligning the deadline with pensioner members (6 July 2027). 🤝 They seemed receptive, and we expect a response soon. #NHSpensions #McCloudRemedy #SchemePays

@PRFitzsimmons It's worth sending a quick chase email. We had one batch where a day's payment batch wasn't processed. We alerted the cost claim-back scheme manager, and they resolved it that day.
