Another initiative that I led in Maryland with the sponsor support of then delegate #CherylGlenn. Stymied by the office of legislative services and previous rewording of the statute (same impact) by then Governor #MartinOMalley
Abolition is Not a Metaphor@RoshanBliss

In the same 24 hours, scotus made abortion illegal in half the country and the Senate of the largest, most "progressive" state in the Union confirmed that yes, they would like to keep prison slavery in place. That's sitting heavy with me today. #ACA3 #RoeVsWade #EndTheException

Candidates, if you're shunning young Black voters, in a majority-Black city, ask yourself why you're running for public office and maybe don't run for public office.

So you’re a “progressive” legislator who can’t show any effort to direct public money to marginalized people in your district?

So you’re a “progressive” legislator because you fight for green space but not jury service for returning citizens?

The *only* person who died during the Uprising of 2015 was Freddie Gray, and he was killed by police. It was not remotely "the worst violence in Baltimore... in 47 years," but our racist gov propagates that racist narrative to sell more prosecution, policing, and incarceration.
Larry Hogan@LarryHogan

Seven years ago, Maryland faced a difficult chapter in our history when the worst violence in Baltimore broke out in 47 years. I will always be grateful for the courageous response of law enforcement, first responders, national guardsmen, and the people of Baltimore.

After I got over (even though I’m not really over) my anger & frustration about the BCPSS mask mandate turning optional in less than 10 days I then started to think immediately about my students… their confusion their anxiety. No matter how you land on this issue it’s A LOT.

YALL. Please pray for Baltimore City students and families as they make there way to schools in this weather. I almost wiped out twice walking my dog this morning and I know over 80% of BCPSS students travel to school by foot or public transportation. Safe travels everyone 🙏🏾

THIS is what is happening in Baltimore. Our amazing and hard working teachers are thinking about leaving the teaching career. I constantly hear elected city officials say improving BCPSS will help our city, help our youth, help our families. YALL ARE PUSHING US OUT OF OUR CAREER!

I’ve done the same with my partner. Working through a plan because this isn’t sustainable. We’ve been down for about 7 days with a “mild” case that sent us to ER. No way I’m staying. But i will miss the kids because I adore them.
