He showed up when showing up for black people was a scarlet letter for white folks...as a very young man. Didn't take him 30 more years to know better.

With Prince, nearly every genre & sub-genre is covered and his dexterity/virtuosity in studio/onstage unmatched.

He was an objectively "better" vocalist. And the "producers" MJ relied on so much to bring his "beatboxing" to life, were heavily influenced by Prince.

As for emulation: other musicians have emulated Prince's sound (use of drum machine, vocal style, slow jams, merging-genres), not "dancing"....Dancing is a visual art. MJ was amazing at that. The MUSIC part was where Prince excelled.
