This is the part that feels most important to me: memory that moves across workflows without turning into a giant uninspectable blob. Curious how you’re thinking about the “Dreaming” layer — especially what gets saved automatically vs what needs approval before becoming a reusable case/skill.

EverOS 1.0.0 is now available. EverOS is an open-source, local-first memory runtime for AI agents, designed around one principle: Agent memory should be readable, portable, and owned by the user. In EverOS, Markdown is the source of truth.

EverOS growing this fast makes sense. Agent memory shouldn’t be another black box or rented database. Plain files you can open, inspect, version with Git, and actually own feels like the right baseline — especially when those memories can evolve into reusable workflows/skills over time. This is the local-first direction I want to see more of.

@evermind Exactly. Plain .md files (open, edit, Git version, Obsidian-readable) + no external DB services turns agent memory into inspectable infrastructure you actually own. The offline evolution into reusable cases/skills without retraining the model is the sovereign move.

@JustJerry121 Exactly. If an agent can touch real systems, “trust me bro” isn’t enough. I want logs, receipts, diffs, permissions, rollback paths — something you can actually inspect when it matters. The chat UI is just the surface. The audit trail is the product.
