This design enhances occupant protection while also helping to reduce the impact forces transmitted to the other vehicle in a collision. In the event of a crash, the system detects the angle and conditions of the impact within 10 milliseconds and instantly activates the appropriate airbags and seatbelt pretensioners. It also features “Reactive Airbags” that adapt their deployment based on the type of collision and the occupants involved. These airbags intelligently adjust the internal cushion pressure by releasing the optimal amount of gas according to the anticipated severity of the impact. Additionally, a far-side airbag positioned between the front seats helps protect occupants from being thrown toward the opposite side during a side-impact collision. NEWS: Southwest Airlines has just announced that it will install @Starlink across its entire fleet. The first Starlink-equipped aircraft will enter service this summer, and it will be available on more than 300 aircraft by the end of 2026.
