@Christo86383094 @PeterZeihan Not JT anymore, the idea Carney is anti-oil is a myth. The US is a large producer but Can has vastly more proven crude reserves. Finally, US gets Can crude at a discount, refines and sells it at much higher margins. The notion to disrupt this is not in the interest of the US.

Canada has energy for sure but canada’s govt is anti oil and gas and doesn’t do enough to exploit the resources it has. So isn’t your point moot due to the regulatory environment of canada? Also, america is the #1 producer in the world of fossil fuels. So yes you have a lot but we have plenty of that same thing ourselves and we don’t have to pay you more to get it.

Leaving Canada high and dry could backfire, as the U.S. benefits greatly from Canadian manufacturing. We'll see how the strategy changes throughout these NAFTA negotiations. #NAFTA #trade #geopolitics

@PeterZeihan Peter. What benefits do we get from canada? Canada is more expensive than America. Which means we’re losing jobs and paying higher prices. Makes no sense to me. At least when we ship our jobs to india and china, we get cheaper things.

When you're tempted to blame Trump's war for the cost of gas, remember this is still the Biden economy.

@TheOnlyLisaRhea @RightPulseNewss @WilliamStratfo1 Of course there are instances where some industries are protected by some countries, the US does this too. But instead of discussing relevant issues case by case, the US took an aggressive sledgehammer approach using insults vs constructive dialogue

Carney's Davos speech will go down as one of the best speeches in recent history, and one of the best speeches from a Canadian prime minister. I get goosebumps when I watch it.

@abubakr__b17 @WhiteHouse A country like Canada sells crude to the US at a discount, the US then refines it and sells at a higher markup. Doesn’t sound like any “cheaters” to me

@WhiteHouse 10% GLOBAL TARIFF incoming. Full force on top of existing ones! Billions already in, now even more leverage to force fair deals and protect American workers. Critics say it 'punishes' the US? Nah, it punishes cheaters who've ripped the US off for decades.

@TrueEuropa @nicksortor You have no idea, do you? In general, Canada sells raw materials to the US, and in turn, the US sells finished goods and services, often at higher margins to Canada. It is (or was) really a win win relationship

Donald Trump will stop at nothing to undermine Michigan’s economy. His reckless tariffs have already driven up costs for Michigan families and businesses. Now he’s threatening to block one of the Midwest’s most important infrastructure projects, putting thousands of Michigan jobs and billions of dollars in economic growth at risk. Trump’s trade war hurts Michigan, plain and simple. Canada is our longtime partner. Our manufacturing economy depends on the Detroit–Windsor corridor, and the Gordie Howe International Bridge is essential to our future. We must move this project forward. I will always stand up for Michigan. Trump needs to drop this threat, let the bridge open, and stop playing games with our jobs and our economy. detroitnews.com/story/news/pol…

@trevorh119 @globeandmail A rushed deal doesn’t protect the economy- if often locks in bad terms that would hurt Canada for years. Short term uncertainty is cheaper than a long term bad contract. And Canada’s economy is not what one would call fragile

Turns out that President Trump did not see the racist video that was displayed on Truth Social.  Whoever posted it has to be fired.  The President is trying to solve the Iran thing as well as bring price relief to Americans.  Awful postings like this hurt Mr. Trump’s governance.  Donald Trump is not racist.  His social media team has to get better fast!
