US should establish some permanent bases within Iran after invading it to make sure the monster doesn't rise up again. It cost billions to neutralize the threat, & easily exiting out is not a good option for the long run.

@Mikeggibbs Right now, If Iran was going to attack the US on US soil, it should not trigger Art 5 as the US and Iran are already in a conflict started by the US. To reiterate, NATO is a defensive alliance, and the US is/was the aggressor.

If the regime in Iran successfully attacks the United States homeland, those of us who were alive on 9/11 and know the lessons, will need to raise our voices. There will be a clamour for Canada to join the war. Along with new waves of Islamophobic violence. No matter how bad the attack is, if it happens we need to stay calm and rational. If we succumb to panic and fear, many innocent Canadians will lose their lives in often unexpected ways. We must hold the line with a stiff upper lip, providing the Americans support where it makes sense but refusing to compromise on our values.

Desalination require electricity and there is not enough natural fresh water to supply 90 million Iranians.

@SoilOfHarvest @mabziz Not to minimize the stealth capability of the airplane, but this thing going at speed and altitude will be warmer than the surrounding air. A good passive IR camera and smart AI would be able to pick-up that signature.

Iran did not beat the F-35's radar-defying tech. It didn't even try to. What it did was focus on a different realm of the electromagnetic spectrum; HEAT, with CHEAP thermal sensors. Per a fundamental rule of thermodynamics, HEAT can't be hidden. And F-35 generates massive heat
