@blue_chunks @SomeBitchIIKnow We have an idiot NIMBY politician problem, not a water problem. Israel turned a DESERT nation into farmland with desalination. The USA could do the same. We could FILL LAKE MEAD to the brim with enough water to serve AZ, CA, and NV, but for fools who refuse to build the plants.
English

@SomeBitchIIKnow Also, we don't really have a water problem, we have a wrong type of water in the wrong places problem.
English

I don't even like a lot of aspects of the current AI landscape, but I need people to stop pretending like water cycles aren't a thing.

@JoeySalads Trump himself said he wont sign any more bills without Save America act passed. Our useless NATO parasite nations like France and UK need Persian gulf oil far worse than we do. Let them put their navvies on the line.

@RobBellator @MatthewWielicki The rate of change since around the industrial revolution is faster than ever in the entire history of the Earth we know about. A temperature swing that used to take 10 000 years prior to the 1900s now is only going to take about 1 000 years.

If we hit 108° in 1902 and 1954, and we’re hitting 108° again now, how is this "unprecedented"? 🤨

New study finds the current heat wave in the West would be "virtually impossible" without human-caused climate pollution. We're on the verge of breaking an all-time March heat record for the US today/tmrw. cnn.com/2026/03/20/wea…

@j_fishback The current crop of NEA public school teachers don't deserve any more pay as their student are failing miserably in standardized testing. Stop rewarding FAILURE

@DavidJHarrisJr Don't quote Yougov they are one of the WORST polling outfits with a terrible record of leftwing bias.
English

@nomad1941_001 @0hour1 By saying " in this case" I was indicating a POTENTIAL DEFAMATION CASE of a PUBLIC figure, as opposed to a defamation case of a NON-PUBLIC figure, which does not require proving actual malice.
English

@nomad1941_001 @0hour1 It falls on the person making the defamatory claims to prove them correct. If you call me a bank robber, it's on YOU to prove I have a felony record, not on me to prove I don't. I just need to tell you I don't have such a record, & you need to cease and desist claiming otherwise.
English

@nofearferret @nomad1941_001 @0hour1 I am only commenting on how the general claims of defamation work, not any specific claims by who ever is involved. I have never heard of Ian Carol. Why would some guy post claims then say they were likely untrue? That seems quite STUPID.
English

@nomad1941_001 @RobBellator @0hour1 Uhhhhhhhh nice try. 😂 All you have to do is read the tweets. Ian Caroll was the worst one, he even said he knew it was likely untrue and shared this misinformation anyway. Why is it worth it to you to erode your credibility like this?
English

@nomad1941_001 @0hour1 Intentional harm. When you are informed, in writing, that the claims you are making in public are wrong, AND causing personal harm to someone's reputation, with actual negative consequences as a result, and YOU CONTINUE those claims, that's PROOF of actual malice.
English

@RobBellator @0hour1 Ok, if that was the purpose, it failed miserably. Do you have any idea what actual malice means?
English

Director of The Libertarian Institute Scott Horton: "We can defeat them, but we will not have escalation, dominance. They will be able to hit back in ways that hurt us, crucially, and it's just not worth it to do it."

Some good news coming out of APS - it's not all bad news trying to eliminate fossil fuels and replace them with expensive, undependable so-called green energy.

English

@nomad1941_001 @0hour1 The function of the cease and desist letter in this case, is to show ACTUAL MALICE vs a PUBLIC FIGURE, which is a REQUIREMENT to prove defamation vs a public figure.
English

@0hour1 You do know that cease and desist letters legally mean nothing, right? It’s just a warning to someone that if you don’t stop, they’re going to sue and it would be great if TP USA and Erika Kirk exposed themselves to discovery. Never happen so all of this is pointless.

Trump says "nobody's come into our country illegally" in the last nine months.
Why that's not really true...
While we don't yet have the number for February, CBP data shows there's been more than 50,000 encounters of illegal immigrants at the southern border going back to June.
Since Trump assumed office, there's been more than 85,000 illegal crossings at the US-Mexico border.
The zero number comes from how many people have been released into the US right after crossing illegally. Some are still handed off to ICE and later released from custody.

English

@rachelbovard You mean, give the D's an amendment so they vote to pass it, then it must go BACK to the House, where the amendment gets stripped out? Can Speaker Johnson then call for a conference committee and pass it in both chambers with 51% votes?
English

I cannot reiterate this enough. You never know with certainty what will happen on any bill until you fight it all the way to the floor. And not just the "fill and file, one cloture vote, done" choreography. A real deliberative process, like what we are sort of seeing now, shakes things loose, creates different opportunities, and leverages the politics of an issue. The power of the Senate floor is undefeated.

We shouldn’t further federalize elections, much less nuke the filibuster, to address a problem of marginal scale that states can address on their own.

@BreitbartNews It's not ALL members of Congress that are the problem here, and it's NOT a small detail your left out. DEMOCRATS in the US Senate are blocking DHS funding. It's your damn job to REPORT THAT FACT in this story.
