No, I don't think 'all people should have the right to decide their own rights', because a pluralistic democratic society can't function that way. Which rights are trans women and 'fans of Pride' missing?

@fem_mb @LindsayMLand I'm with the ultras. But haranguing anyone about their choice of language doesn't seem very productive. Just set an example and who knows? people might follow you

@LindsayMLand There's a certain faction of sex realists who are more concerned with attacking anyone who fails their rigid purity tests than with actually getting our rights back, and they're exasperating.

I choose to no longer refer to trans-identifying men by female pronouns, but it's not up to me to tell anyone else what they may call their friends. When your gender critical purity spiral starts to pull JKR under, maybe it's time to reevaluate your own rigidity.

I love JKR, she done important work in this (fighting gender) area. It's okay to question people in public debate on their stand and actions. That does not mean you are vilifying them. It doesn't mean you are saying that they are uncommitted. Asking people to question their use of trans-affirming language is an important and valid part of the debate. They can agree or disagree. it's called debate and it moves the overton window. TWITTER (X), The public forum, is exactly the place to debate this. I suspect she isn't losing sleep over people questioning her language use and what that might lead to. I'm sure she's fine and can handle her own rebuttals. nobody will die because people have pointed out there might be costs to calling some men SHE. And in my case, such criticism is not a personal attack on her. White Knight bro

@jk_rowling YOU are a big reason public support has dropped. Our "conversation" is a perfect example. You sit in your castle spewing your artfully crafted rhetoric to your followers, and anybody you respond to gets swarmed with bite-me's regurgitating hateful propaganda. You are the problem.

@robjessel16 I would go a step further and say "he & him" for men and "she & her" for women. Using a / is too associated with gender ideology and preferred pronouns.

Ok, gonna be bold here. All of you dropping “37 + 40…” or other apparently simple solutions are not analysing your inner workings. You’re looking at the 3 and the 4 and making 7, before you even amplify to 70. You just don’t see that’s what you’re doing. And that’s before we get to units. 8 + 7 is not magically 15. You’re doing work to understand that.

Park Run founder has a book out. Interviewed by The Times. No mention of the men-pretending-to-be-ladies. Missed opportunity, I'd say.

@Waffles2026 @robjessel16 He's not an investigative journalist. It was an interview about a book. Whether an anonymous person on Facebook considers his subject an arsehole or not, should not really change his game plan for the interview.

Today our founder is quoted in @thetimes as they reveal 170 single men have applied for surrogacy parental orders since 2019. We want to see surrogacy banned for everyone, but the growth of single men pursuing surrogacy should alarm us all. @SanMan1978

Replying to @DamianHinds , @HENLEYDARREN states that freedom of expression 'is at the heart' of @ace_national 's mission, otherwise they 'would be censors', whilst @nickserota confirms it is a 'published principle in standard terms.' Thank God for that - cancel culture was just a bad dream after all !
