At Golders Green today, The King reaffirmed his support for the Jewish community, following a series of antisemitic attacks. During his time at the Jewish Care centre in North-West London, The King spoke to victims of the recent knife attack that took place in the area on 29th April 2026. His Majesty also met community police force, Shomrim, who were involved in responding to the attacks.

@JillFilipovic Radical feminists have opposed surrogacy for 40 years. It’s a despicable way to treat babies -who bond in utero with mother, regardless of egg used in the pregnancy -and an awful way in which the rich exploit the poverty of low income women. The pregnancies are also higher risk.

Surrogacy is incredibly ethically complicated and it would be a mistake for feminists to simply negatively polarize ourselves on it - i.e., the religious right is against it, therefore we are for it. A complex issue it's worth treating with care and nuance.

We’re too old to be targeted for our eggs. Instead, we are asked to buy them. It is disgraceful that society turned women’s eggs in to a tradeable commodity. And there is no requirement for a criminal records check on those who buy eggs. This all needs overhauling @DHSCgovuk

The good news is these children will be safe from future abuse at the hands of their “intended parents” and nannies, but the bad news is that surrogacy created 21 “orphans” still in foster care. @istaphobe_uk @DHSCgovuk We often see older women with younger husbands agreeing to surrogacy so the husband doesn’t leave them. Elsewhere we’ve seen coercively controlling marriages where the husband effectively tells her she’ll be a surrogate mum for the $$$ - she doesn’t always have much choice.
