@mitchellvii Difference is Islamic fundamentalism doesn’t allow for the change like Japan did. Iran is not a secular government.

🇺🇸 🇮🇷 PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH! - One thing that people have to keep in mind about Trump's peace negotiations with Iran.
In modern warfare you never want to completely defeat an enemy because then you just create an insurgency. You have to have sticks and carrots. We learned that lesson in Iraq.
When we defeated Japan in World War II MacArthur didn't execute the Emperor and wipe out all of their leadership. He gave them a chance to work with the United States and rebuild.
Iran is clearly beaten but Trump is trying to create a path forward to basically change their minds so that they will see their future tied to good relations with the United States as opposed to being our enemy.
Japan went from being our mortal enemy to being one of our strongest allies. I think that's the model that Trump is going after here.
This follows the peace through strength initiative. Achieve long-term peace by exerting strength.

@GrossmannJason @NUCLRGOLF Depends on the state. In California and Arizona the homeowner is responsible unless intentionally trying to hit someone’s house.
English

@Muskies0079 @GWizThe @NUCLRGOLF You are totally correct. Just looked up California and the homeowner is responsible unless you intentionally hit the house
English

Interesting. Looks like it depends by state. This is what it is in California where I live
In California, liability for a golf ball damaging a house generally depends on whether the golfer acted negligently. Under the state’s "primary assumption of risk" doctrine, homeowners alongside a golf course inherently accept the risk of stray balls, meaning a golfer is usually not responsible for accidental or routine errant shots. [1, 2, 3, 4]
When the Golfer IS Responsible
A golfer can be held liable for property damage under California Civil Code 3333 if it can be proven that their actions were negligent or intentional. [1, 2]
You may be liable if the damage resulted from: [1]
•Recklessness: Hitting a ball from an unreasonable distance, or performing trick shots (e.g., Happy Gilmore style).
•Intentional Misconduct: Deliberately aiming toward
English

@RobLeff @NUCLRGOLF False. House abuts a course…a ball only hits the house when the golfer hits it OFF the course…where they are NOT SUPPOSED TO HIT IT. Personal responsibility
English

@mitchellvii And what happens if you have primary out the incumbents and the Democratic wins office. What did you accomplish?
English

@MelFuller2001 @mitchellvii Remember Democrats had 60 senators so a supermajority that hadn’t happened in a century plus the house and the presidency. And all they passed was Obamacare. Not abortion or any other social issue
English

@RobLeff @mitchellvii A speaking filibuster is an option.
The democrats got Obamacare passed!
But Republicans can't pass a bill most of America wants.
The senate Republicans are an embarrassment.
English

@MelFuller2001 @drtokusa @mitchellvii Problem is zero Democrats will vote for it and there are not 60 Republicans
English

@drtokusa @RobLeff @mitchellvii The win is the bill itself.
Most Americans want it.
Politicians will pay for not passing it.
They think they won't be voted out.
We've already proven we will.
As many as we have to.
Thune is next.
We're serious.
English

@vplarosa @mitchellvii Yes. I agree. I don’t think on the filibuster that is possible since it is a principle thing. Otherwise Trump would have convinced her. Wish you were right though.
English

@RobLeff @mitchellvii Trump was able to pursuade Murkowski of AK last time he needed to…
English

@mitchellvii Who do you think would be a better Senate Majority leader then? I like Ted Cruz but don’t think he wants that
English

@RKING90210 @herbizid @AmitSegal Yes. Which is why Trump needs to stop negotiating and start bombing. Until Iran is in a surrender position this BS will just continue to happen
English

@herbizid @AmitSegal So we are renegotiating the JCPOA from a position of weakness?
English

New details emerging on the difficulties in U.S.–Iran negotiations:
As of now, Iran is only willing to commit to not developing nuclear weapons, while the U.S. is pushing for concrete steps to reduce enriched uranium—either by selling it, transferring it abroad, or diluting it.
A major sticking point is the Strait of Hormuz: Iran wants it under its management, while the U.S. insists on full freedom of navigation.
There’s also no agreement on financial relief. Qatar has stepped in with a proposal to provide Iran a $12B humanitarian loan.
Notably, Lebanon is now part of the broader framework under discussion.
English

@vplarosa @mitchellvii I completely agree. I don’t think anyone can convince those 4 though to do something they don’t agree with. They are all Mavericks
English

@RobLeff @mitchellvii The job of a leader is to bring people together, not just accept the position they think is the right one. Convince them otherwise.
English

@drtokusa @mitchellvii You are assuming he did not try that already. John Thune is no RINO and has a history of being a strong republican voice
English

@RobLeff @mitchellvii You offer them some win they can take home to their state. It’s actually really easy.
