Just had a bloke turn up at my door to read the gas meter. They don’t come around that often these days. And he’s not in a British Gas uniform - just a high-viz and a lanyard - apparently he's some kind of contractor. I let him in. But I’m also mentally locating where my husband is. I know he’s nearby - just not actually in the house. “This is very low,” he says, trying to make conversation. “You obviously don’t use much gas.” I want to reply: “I know. So why is our flippin’ bill so high?” But there’s a strange man in my house and, instinctively, I just want him to leave as quickly as possible. So I don’t say anything. He’s probably a perfectly nice man. Most are. But this is what being a woman feels like a lot of the time. Quietly assessing. Quietly calculating. Always slightly on guard because, sadly, you have to be. Most women know exactly the feeling I’ve just described. Yet today some people - including some women - are apparently outraged. Because men have been told “no”. And reminded of what the law states clearly: that men do not belong in the intimate spaces of women and girls. Regardless of how they 'identify'.

@tobyasky I had 5 tickets in 1 week for entering a bus lane whilst working in Cardiff. They told me the markings are clearly painted on the road, however I argued it's the busiest road in Cardiff and it's always bumper to bumper so I can't see the markings 🤷‍♂️ 5 tickets quashed 👍

I like the fact that you can contest or appeal any ticket in the UK, if you have a reasonable excuse, or even if it’s not that reasonable, they’ll listen. My colleague got fined £100 for not paying for parking, if he pays the fine within 14 days, it’s £60. He told them he forgot, and showed them his history of parking in that place, how he’s never failed to pay for parking, that he honestly forgot. Guess what, they reduced it to £20.

Building good habits. A can of Monster at my site canteen costs £2.20 One of these a day is £11/week. I will be depositing £11 every Monday instead of buying one of these every day. At current prices this will get me just under 1 share of RR. It’s not a large sum of money at all but the shares will add up week by week and overtime the rewards will be noticeable.

He was good at it. Then he found something his bosses really did not want him to find. While working in the Specialist Vice Unit, Wedger uncovered what he says was a pattern of deliberate suppression. Child sex trafficking investigations being shut down from above. This is How much the UK 🇬🇧 rips everyone off for Fuel prices and other items. This is Koh Phangan in Thailand 🇹🇭 today and post war petrol and diesel prices. This is an Island 2 hours 30 minutes from the Mainland by car ferry. The Thai people are annoyed that they have gone up so much recently . About 4 THB a litre they have gone up since the war began. Koh Phangan does not have pipelines to get fuel here and it’s transported in Lorry Fuel tankers from the mainland on car ferries so it’s not even that cheap or easy to get it here. So 95 Petrol is most expensive at 86p a litre and Diesel at 78p a litre and these are post Iran 🇮🇷 war prices today. I’m not promoting being a smoker but unfortunately I am one. A packet of 20 cigarettes here is £1.70p. In the UK I know they are £17 a packet from my last visit. What are the fuel prices in the UK today ? I think it is 20 years ago fuel prices were this price a litre in the UK 🇬🇧? Where does all that tax go ?
