@mathelirium That's not an aerofoil, it's effectively stalling (turbulent flow) and the official explanation isn't wrong. Even with 0 angle of attack, an aerofoil will still generate lift, just less lift. This is extremely well documented. Just measure delta P, the pressure is lower on top.

It is often said that the lift on a wing is generated because the flow moving over the top surface has a longer distance to travel and therefore needs to go faster. This common explanation is actually wrong.

BREAKING: 🇺🇸🇮🇷 The damaged A-10C+ which was spotted over Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province of Iran today did not make it to its base - ABC News Now the shootdown of a second A-10C+ Thunderbolt II ground attack aircraft that was involved in the search and rescue operation after shootdown of the F-15E of the 494th FS by Iranian air defenses has been confirmed. According to CENTCOM sources speaking to ABC News and other outlets, the A-10C+ crashed in Kuwait after the pilot ejected. The pilot was rescued immediately. This marks the second loss of an A-10C+ of the U.S. Air Force during the Iran war in just one day.
