@MAISfanGuy The MAIS should just do away with the transfer rules and allow kids to transfer to other mais schools without jumping through all the hoops

Also interesting seeing the outrage over MAIS transfers while MHSAA schools are recruiting MAIS players every year too. Reality is transfers happen everywhere, some people just only complain when it fits their narrative.

Just curious - For those Bama fans that still call him “Debozo” what is it going to take for you to consider Kalen DeBoer as a good coach?

@bamaperspective When the attitude changes from the top Bama will look like Bama again. The one characteristic Bama is missing is physicality. Bama has to be a physical football team again. Soon they figure that out the better

Both of these things are true IMO. 1. It's weird as heck that some former players are bad-mouthing and flexing on Bama. The longer it's been since they were here, the more bizarre it is. Also not super believable. 2. Ohio State has pulled ahead of us as a program. The margin is small, but it's there. Hoping we use the insults as fuel to get better. Let's leapfrog them again and get back where we belong.

Kalen DeBoer recently said that the run game is “slowly inching forward,” and I think we need to take that at face value. Not because we don’t want to be excited, but because one hire along the offensive line probably isn’t going to fix everything in two weeks. The fact that there’s progress is great but I’ve read crazy takes already that are setting some fans up for failure if Alabama doesn’t rush for 175 yards a game and have a RB Heisman finalist. The truth is - compared to the past couple of seasons - Alabama has a ways to go to getting back to being elite on the ground and that’s what the Head Coach is getting at. They can get there, but understanding that process takes time - even with multiple former high profile recruits in the backfield is essential to not crashing out the first time Alabama finishes a game with under 100 yards rushing. It’s getting better - even if slowly - that’s the good news!

Kalen DeBoer on the Alabama QB battle between Austin Mack and Keelon Russell: Mack: “Austin has been at an extremely high level with his ball placement. When he’s got a guy that he needs to make a throw to, he’s putting it where it needs to be.” Russell: “Keelon has a much better grasp of the offense than he did a year ago, much more comfortable. He has great instincts, and he’s made a lot of big plays.” Who do you think will be QB1 for the Crimson Tide next season? 🤔

Zero recruits. He’s developed players and played players no one else would. He gives the guys game packets for one night equal to what I got my whole life. He scouts. Studies. Strategizes. He is bringing a YMCA team to an AAU tournament. For you baseball guys he is bringing a park league team to the Travel ball circuit and will compete. I’ve met 1000 Coaches and never met a dude like Jason Morgan And basketball pales to what he’s done for kids Spiritually. This isn’t feel good Sunday school Banter. I’m not pretending. He’s molded my son into a disciple of the living God. One man. One man has that much influence and if you miss being that one man and win 10,000 titles you’ve missed it all. He’s coach of the year and it isn’t close

A lot of Alabama fans are shocked to see Alabama’s offensive line coach out on the road recruiting - wanting him fired instead. But maybe that’s why he’s still around - maybe it’s also Kalen DeBoer’s way of telling us that it was never a coaching issue to begin with? Full Video drop in 45 minutes. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

@sitnuok @Teaguefootball I think they should remove the players names from the jerseys just put a sponsorship on it instead. The player probably won’t be there a year maybe 2 at the most.

The “student-athlete” era is OVER. Private equity isn’t just investing in college football—they’re taking it over. Your favorite programs could soon be more about profits than players, tradition, or loyalty. Logo-covered jerseys, and a game run like a business, not a university. Are you ready for the new version of college football?

@bamaperspective You have to coach em up and be physical Alabama shouldn’t look up at halftime and have 8 yards rushing against anyone. Most teams are playing a base D against us stopping the run and getting pressure on QB. That can’t happen and that is coaching….

The thing is, that's the same for every team. And those other teams can buy a better QB, a better running game and a better defense than you. You *can* win with a top 8-15 roster. But the odds say you'll do it more like once every 5-15 years, not once every 3 years (like you would with a top 3 roster).

Is Bama broke? Here's my take. I think it depends on how you define "money." If you mean to pay a head coach, assistant coaches, ancillary staff (doctors, nutrition, tutoring, etc.)? Definitely have money. If you mean for recruiting budget? Definitely have money. If you mean for facilities and equipment? Definitely first-class. But if you're getting into straight NIL, we are definitely not top-tier. We do have "money," but we're probably somewhere between 10th and 20th? So we're probably not going to be in on any of the 3-4 best players at a given position in the portal. Very rarely will we get any of those. Still in a position to be better than most P4 and most SEC programs ... purely in terms of the transfer portal. And we're probably still top 5 (or right there) in terms of recruiting resources. Put it together and I'd expect us to have a roster that's fringe Top 10 or so on an annual basis rather than top 2-3. You can win a title with that type of roster, especially with the right QB and with the right defense -- and especially if your best players are all experienced in the right peak year. But it isn't realistic to expect to be a true title contender on an annual basis with a fringe Top 10 type of roster in terms of talent.
