@theJeremyVine If you ride on the road, or in a busy city (I do occasionally) expect and accept some vehicles may be closer than the law would like. You are NOT exempt from common sense when riding the public highway! The law is currently allowing cyclists to almost be exempt from thinking!!

@juneslater17 @Pcctowing24_7 I have a very good friend who has to support some crew members who are tasked with this kind of rescue. It’s not a free passage, the RNLI is tasked to help any ‘seafairer’ who is in trouble and/or instructed by authorities. Please remember the crews are a majority of volunteers.
