Fox News has learned that the Commander of the 82nd Airborne Division Maj Gen Brandon Tegtmeier and his “command element,” members of his headquarters staff, have been ordered to deploy to the Middle East as the Pentagon and White House weigh whether to send the 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East for possible land operations. There has been speculation that the US would use ground forces to possibly take Kharg Island or for other missions inside Iran. This would be a first step needed to plan for such a contingency. NYT was first to report yesterday that the Pentagon was weighing whether to send the 82nd Airborne. nytimes.com/2026/03/23/us/…

This is the end. A world built on lies has shattered. Hungarian intelligence services, acting on the orders of @PM_ViktorOrban and his inner circle, have worked against the TISZA party, which is preparing for a change of government. This affair, the "Orbán-gate", recalls the darkest days of communism and is even more serious than the Watergate scandal, which brought down Richard Nixon. Let it be clear: what has been revealed today in the investigative report by @direkt36, published by @Telexhu, crosses every line. It amounts to an attempted coup against Hungary. Under a TISZA government, both political appointees and the leaders of the intelligence services will be held accountable before the Hungarian justice system. I understand the responsibility, and I promise that we will carry out the will of millions of Hungarians, we will take our country back. In 19 days, the will of the Hungarian people will defeat the regime built on fear.

The historic warmth even in the overnight lows has exacerbated and already horrible Snow Water Equivalent (SWE) situation is in the west. The Upper Colorado literally has none left to measure and the average daily temperatures have touched what is normal for June here. Even with 2 big dumps of snow this winter, recent warmth and the light, fluffy snow experienced with the second big snow a few weeks ago has literally evaporated from the Sierra snowpack. SWE here is abysmal at best. The first 2 graphs are from the Upper Colorado site from USDA. Future water and fire ramifications will be the topics of discussion going forward.

@truththrulove @WilliamShatner Original Trek It was the most liberal show ever. Please disown it so we know where you truly stand. Let That Be Your Last Battlefield was not a "conversation."

During the first airing of my Star Trek series where a kiss was objectionable; many southern stations pulled the episode & condemned the show. Using today’s vernacular it would absolutely be called“woke DEI crap”because it went against “norms” of society for its time. Not a lot seems to have changed.🤷🏼😑

LloydsList: “At least two vessels transiting through the strait are understood to have paid in exchange for safe passage, with one fee reported to have been around $2m.” $2 million on a VLCC carrying 2 million barrels = $1/barrel premium. Quite a bargain in this market. Expect more to follow suit. lloydslist.com/LL1156694/Zomb…

Absurd false equivalency. Yes, some Resistance types overstated Trump's alignment w/Putin, but Mueller himself did not. He conducted the investigation that Trump's wretched behavior forced on the nation, and he did so in a careful manner that pinpointed Trump's actual culpability

WaPo: Behind closed doors, Republicans have tamped down their hopes of unseating Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA), a 39-year-old powerhouse fundraiser, as he seeks another term Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) warned a crowd of Republicans in Roberta, Georgia, in January that he faced an uphill battle in November to unseat Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff in the purple state, if he becomes the Republican nominee. washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/…

Why does everyone think every #SCOTUS reporter has to agree on everything? I'll say one other thing: especially when not in the room, reporters tend to put more emphasis on what justices say near beginning of argument than what they say/ask later. Sort of anti-recency bias

Energy industry insider in Iran tells me the following, and it is STUNNING: Before the war, Iran produced just shy of 1.1mn barrels of oil per day, and sold it at $65 per barrel minus $18 discount (i.e. $47) Today, it produces 1.5mn barrels a day, and sells it at $110 with only $2-4 discount. And this does not include petrochemical sales that not only have increased, but are now being sold to a larger set of customers compared to before the war. Moreover, Iran is receiving payments through new mechanisms that bypass the UAE, which were set up after the June war. In essence, and this is really important to understand, Trump and Israel's war has ended up delivering Iran de facto sanctions relief. This means that Iran is all the less incentivized to end the war, unless the agreement provides Iran with formal sanctions relief.
