@KirstiMiller30 2 is completely nonsense. Even if we admit that some people's brains have natural variations, what is its relationship with "gender"? Almost all theories I have seen are circular reasoning.

Let me say a few things: 1. gender identity lies on a spectrum 2. gender identity emerges from brain development - 3. In a small percent of the population, gender identity mismatches birth sex. This is a natural variation that has existed in our species across every group and region, since the dawn of our species. 4. Sadly, this mismatch causes dissonance for that person who tries to live in a gender role or body that they were never meant to fit. It is traumatic for these people and hugely impactful to their life trajectory. Trans people deserve our respect, compassion and, given the strength they have shown to survive, admiration. 5. Trans women aren't just women, they are biological women. We are nothing if not our brains. You don't love someone because of their chromosomes, liver, kidney or heart - you love them because of their brain. Brain development has far more meaning and validity as a marker for womanhood (or manhood) than chromosomes.. If you are being bombarded with anti-trans rhetoric, consider taking a break from social media or resetting your algorithm.
