@RobinJasper
I live in the Welsh Marches border country. Don't tweet much but I like to know what's going on.

@FCDOGovUK @YvetteCooperMP But we don't have strong borders. That's why Labour are toast at the next election.
English

Strong borders and respect for international law can go hand in hand.
This week the Foreign Secretary @YvetteCooperMP was at the Council of Europe to deliver on both.

Good! Only the Union flag, the Royal standard, flags of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland along with local heritage flags should fly from public buildings.
We in Reform UK promise what we will do and we do what we promised - a rather novel thing for the uni-parties!

🚨NEW: The newly elected Reform UK admin has removed the Ukrainian flag from outside Essex County Council's offices
English

One of the first decisions made by Essex Reform was to remove the Ukrainian flag from County Council HQ.
Let that sink in.

His strategy is preemptive surrender. We saw it when he crippled Ukraine’s leverage by cutting weapons and demanding concessions before negotiations with Russia even started. Now, he's applying that same disastrous blueprint to Taiwan. It’s a masterclass in weakness 😑

The warrant, which police have not confirmed, is reportedly connected to comments Ben Wallace made at the Warsaw Security Forum last year.

@BurnsideWasTosh He is the closest thing to a dictator that we can get in the UK.
English

I know what comes after Starmer will be disastrous, but what we have now is disastrous. Disaster comes with the ideology. But there is something profoundly un-British, authoritarian and sinister about Starmer. His instincts are to take the side of whoever hates the country and its inhabitants the most.
And a wounded Starmer will be vicious, it wouldnt surprise me for him to make a thing about this weekends march to try and shore up his position with the left.
English

@Keir_Starmer When are you going to board ships of the shadow fleet? Over 100 have sailed through the channel unchallenged since you made that promise.

@BasilTheGreat He is the closest to being a dictator you can get in the UK.

🚨BREAKING: KEIR STARMER REFUSES TO RESIGN
His speech to cabinet moments ago:
"As I said yesterday, I take responsibility for these election results and I take responsibility for delivering the change we promised.
"The past 48 hours have been destabilising for government and that has a real economic cost for our country and for families.
"The Labour Party has a process for challenging a leader and that has not been triggered.
"The country expects us to get on with governing. That is what I am doing and what we must do as a cabinet."
EXPECT MASS RESIGNATIONS FROM THE GOVERNMENT

@IAPonomarenko @UkrainianAna Absolutely right. Whatever we're they thinking?
English

A trillion sophisticated-sounding words instead of admitting the most obvious fact: the policy of painfully and artificially restricting military aid to Ukraine in hopes of “avoiding escalation” and “making Putin come to his senses” was catastrophically wrong, deeply misguided, and irresponsible.
It only gave the aggressor advantages, time, and the protection to fully mobilize its war machine for a long-term war.
English

@EstherMcVey1 Labour under Starmer is offering the voting public more of what they have just voted against. Vote Reform!
English

74 Labour MPs & counting are calling for Starmer to go.
But Rachel Reeves is the person who could finish Starmer off. If she had anything about her, she would do it, and that act might just improve her standing in the country too. Unfortunately, she too is weak and out of her depth and I suspect she hasn’t got it in her, but it truly is the only sensible course of action she has left at her disposal.
She could say that she has tried to run the nation’s finances responsibly, but with a ditherer and u-turner like Starmer at the helm it is impossible. That she has seen it through to the local elections to avoid causing a row for the benefit of Labour council candidates, but she can now speak freely and highlight how Starmer makes the job of Chancellor impossible.
Whilst the Labour Party soap opera trundles on for another week, the country keeps going into reverse. Starmer’s legacy as the worst ever Prime Minister is assured. He needs to be put out of his misery quickly, and so do the rest of us for that matter.
