UDA Secretary General, Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan, after gracing the inauguration of Uganda President H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, later in the evening joined hundreds of delegates, African ruling party officials, liberation movements, and international guests at a fraternal Pan-African dinner hosted by the President at the Kampala Serena Hotel. The dinner, hosted by President Museveni in his capacity as Chairman of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), brought together strategic partners from across Africa and beyond in a renewed spirit of African solidarity, unity, and cooperation. In his address, President Museveni reflected on the strong bonds among African liberation movements, noting that their shared history was forged through collective struggles against colonialism, imperialism, and underdevelopment. The gathering reaffirmed the commitment of Africa’s progressive political formations to deepen regional integration process, promote peace and stability, and champion the continent’s aspirations for shared prosperity, dignity, and self-determination.

Emurua Dikirr was electrified as David Keter “Dollarline” wrapped up his final campaign push with a massive rally at Emurua Dikir Primary School ahead of Thursday’s decisive vote. The high-energy event marked the climax of a month-long grassroots campaign that has swept across the constituency, drawing overwhelming support from residents. Dollarline was joined by a strong lineup of leaders including Hon. Ezekiel Kipronoh (Ilkerin Ward), Hon. Kipsang Mibei (Mogondo Ward), Hon. Kipkoech Tembur (Ololmasani Ward), Hon. Jackson Ng’ok (Kapsasian Ward), Hon. Kipng’eno Chepkwony (Mara Ward), and Narok County Deputy Governor Hon. Tamalinye Koech. In one united voice, the leaders urged residents to turn out in large numbers and vote for the UDA candidate, emphasizing the importance of aligning Emurua Dikirr with the Government of Kenya and the ruling party. They also called for peace, unity, and calm before, during, and after the election.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan led the "Meet the People" tour to drum up support for the UDA candidate for Endo Ward in Marakwet East Constituency, Elgeyo-Marakwet County Festus Korir Kirop, ahead of the Thursday 14th May by-election. Joined by the Elgeyo-Marakwet County Governor H.E Wisley Rotich, they traversed the ward with stops at Sambalat Primary, Sangach Primary, Soko Bora, Kerio Valley Secondary, and Chesongoch Primary. The leaders highlighted the enormous development programmes being undertaken by the government in the area and the success in restoring security in the area. Sen. Hassan rallied residents to turn out in large numbers to ensure a decisive victory for the Party candidate as a statement of confidence in the leadership of President William Ruto and the UDA Party. The UDA Party is set to conduct its nomination tomorrow to pick the party's candidate for the Ol Kalou Constituency by-elections slated for July 16, 2026. With the party scheduled to use electronic voting, tablets and other voting materials were by yesterday being dispatched to polling centres across the constituency. Ten candidates are jostling to fly the UDA flag. They are Joseph Ndirangu Ndung'u, Peter Njoroge Mugo, Samuel Muchina Nyagah, Njoroge Wambugu Kanuri, Maina Kiambati, Joseph Chuchu Njuguna, Stanley Mwangi Wairimu, Mary Nyokabi Kamau, Daniel Ndung'u Mwangenye, Ezekia Kamweru Kiraing'wa.

Launched by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto in November 2025, the Kamuwongo–Kandwia Road, part of the wider B64 corridor closing a critical gap in the Mwingi–Kamuwongo–Ciangera corridor, is currently undergoing a bitumen-standard upgrade. Earthworks and initial grading are underway along the 13-kilometre stretch, with most sections now at subgrade level and prepared for base and asphalt layering. Once complete, it will provide a continuous paved link from the Thika–Garissa (A3) Highway in Mwingi to the Ena–Chiakariga–Meru (B65) corridor, effectively connecting Kitui to Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Meru counties and opening up Mwingi North to broader northern markets and trade flows. Parallel to this progress, works are advancing on the Kyuso–Tseikuru Road (B52), extending the connectivity chain deeper into the region. While Tseikuru has produced some of the country's most decorated leaders, it has long carried the irony of being a backwater where ordinary citizens still contend with poor roads, a reality now being decisively addressed. The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration continues to support the project's delivery by reinforcing road safety along the corridor through coordinated traffic management, public awareness and enforcement. Building on the successful delivery of 220 units under Phase I of the Machakos Affordable Housing Project that is now occupied, the Government, through the State Department for Housing and Urban Development (@HousingUrbanKE), has commenced Phase II, with foundation works already underway. This continued investment reaffirms a firm commitment to deliver tangible, life-changing projects to Kenyans across the country, even in regions long associated with prominent political figures but where such transformative impact has often remained elusive. Adjacent to Phase I, the new phase will deliver 570 additional housing units across four 14-storey blocks. Through this programme, the Government is addressing housing needs while also fostering sustainable employment by equipping workers with practical skills, steady incomes and opportunities that extend beyond the lifespan of the project. UDA Secretary General, Hassan Omar Hassan has called out the opposition for politicizing the fuel prices for their selfish gains. Through the G-to-G framework, Kenyans have been cushioned from a spike in fuel prices due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Further, the government has availed Ksh. 6.2 billion to stabilize the prices as a way of mitigating further escalation. Additionally, VAT on Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene has been reduced from 16 percent to 8 percent, bringing down the retail price to Sh 197.60, Sh 196.63, and Sh152.78 respectively. Sen Hassan termed the opposition leaders as clueless and told off the impeached former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for his hypocrisy, reminding Kenyans that during his time in office he received the first consignment of the G-to-G fuel on April 12, 2023 at Kipevu Oil Terminal in Mombasa. "As a party, we remain confident in the stewardship of Hon. Opiyo Wandayi as Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum and Hon. Lee Kinyanjui, Cabinet Secretary for Trade, Investments and Industry," asserted Sen. Omar during a press briefing held at the party headquarters.
