@Akshat_World Interesting point of view. But inefficiencies are everywhere. What do you think is a barometer for right use of tax money. It might be different for different people and govt has to do the job of doing it right for everyone. I not not criticizing your post, genuinely asking

Imagine going to a restaurant. And, paying 5000Rs/person for dinner. You get served undercooked dish. That too on dirty cutlery. You call the waiter. They show attitude too. Finally, you leave disappointed. You write a negative review. But, to your surprise: people start bashing you. They give you lectures like: - Why don't your cook your own food? - Other restaurants also serve sub-par food? Why can't you be more positive? - Who spends 5000Rs/person for dinner. What do you do? You simply move on to better restaurants. ***** This story is no different from paying taxes. Honest taxpayer's job is to pay taxes. Government's job is to generate decent ROIs on those taxes. That's where the relationship ends. There is no higher purpose here for the government or for you. If one person does their job honestly, but the other does not. It is a toxic relationship. People (who can afford to walk out) simply choose to walk out of toxic relationships.

My first portfolio in the US hits 1Mn$. And, it now beats 99% of the Mutual Funds. This entire fund has been built transparently in front of students. We pay 0% commissions. I will be building another AI, Robotics, Energy focused Portfolio (with another 1Mn$) now. We are still in the early stages of AI adoption. And, I strongly believe that this could be the theme of the decade. So my new fund would be a 100% vertical and foundational AI fund. This is high-risk, high-reward. The markets are heated (no doubt). And, I expect a corporate earnings slowdown, so I will keep 2 years as the deployment period for this fund. AI is an exciting space to study. And, I don't mind being an extremely concentrated investor in this space. Let's see how it goes :)

@viditchess Get the MacBook pro 14 inch laptop (at least M3 chip) It is an amazing machine, I use it for coding and can handle heavy tasks easily. Also, 14 inch, so much easier to carry in bag pack. But check the weight, laptop+ charger weight - not light.

@JellyIvy Seems to be miss in #2 as the overall income tax in never 40%, if you calculate tax rates as per slab, your tax will never be more than 30% overall. This 40% might be including VAT on petrol + GST. But then you should exclude #3 where GST is listed.

@Memeghnad It all started with rain patterns shifting and farmers not being allowed to plant crops before monsoon.invest in ground water harvest and other water table improvement methods so that the crops can be planted in April again, as it used to happen earlier

@Memeghnad Like in US, use high quality machine and processes during construction. In US the local pollution due to construction is minimal

@Memeghnad Steps from govt side: Center govt should buy stubble removal machines and rent it out to farmers on time sharing basis. Be super strict with industries and construction owners. Have checks and ban industry that produces more pollution than a limit. Will is more important than law

@Memeghnad First of all, all NCR people should protest in front of Delhi and center govt office, and demand no tax on income, no GST, no VAT on fuel for all days that the AQI is in severe category.

In a city of high rises, our humanity keeps sinking lower. A society collectively fixes house helps rates, a mere Rs 1,000 a month to clean utensils twice a day! Accept or be debarred! We preach fairness, but as soon as people get power, we use it to exploit anyone we can!

Why would a company earning 67 crores annualised revenue with with a healthy 35-40% EBITDA suddenly sack 15% of its workforce @financewsharan?? Your explanation seems bizarre to say the least - you have enough money to sustain your fancy 5000 sq ft office, enough reserves to put 10cr. investor money into FD - but just because some new 'AI tool' came - you decided to let go of around 40 people? Is that how you run companies now? Is that the financial advice you will give to thousands of your clients? Is this a new financial planning model? Sure the sackings could be performance linked - but then 15% at one go? Also what's this revolutionary AI tech you have implemented? Has @getonepercent made AI sentient or what?
