Joe Kocur, Kirk Muller, Ryan Getzlaf, Dylan Strome, Owen Power and Cody Hodgson are joining the roster, with Gary Roberts joining returning coaches Doug Gilmour and Wendel Clark behind the bench. Thank you to the 4,800+ households who participated in last night’s Recreation Telephone Town Hall with the City of Brampton and Brampton Recreation. 📞 Residents heard directly from Mayor @PatrickBrownOnt, Council and the City’s Recreation team about key recreational updates, facilities and services that are building a healthier, active and stronger #Brampton. Here’s what we learned: ➡️ 94% support free recreation programs for seniors ➡️ 39% support ActiveAssist continuing to be available to all age groups ➡️ 22% selected outdoor racquet sports as the top priority for new investments (among nine sport options) ➡️ 71% support additional outdoor pools for public use ️➡️ 73% support expanding outdoor rinks for free public hockey and skating ️➡️ 85% support investing in underutilized school fields to create more recreation opportunities These conversations help shape the future of recreation in Brampton and ensure we continue to provide meaningful programs, services and amenities that improve the health and well-being of our residents.
