@SolarHeavy WHOA! Is this the pool that had to be emptied after the President stocked it with his favorite Brown Trout?

@RepJackKimble Most Americans works more than 250 days a year and cannot even make to what you make in 140 days. Properly compensated my ass.

@DrRitaDed We heard this before and we got screwed by the lies. Not playing this game again.

A food truck owner was fined $5,000 by the state for giving free food to firefighters battling a wildfire.
She parked near the staging area during the emergency and served tacos, burritos, and other hot meals at no charge to exhausted first responders working long shifts in extreme heat. They were protecting the town from burning down.
The state cited her for operating outside her permitted zone and lacking an emergency vendor license, claiming health and safety rules still applied.
In court, the judge threw out the fine. He ruled it was a clear Good Samaritan act during a natural disaster—not a commercial operation—and said the state should have thanked her instead of prosecuting.

In 1962, Brendon Grimshaw purchased Moyenne Island in the Seychelles for roughly $11,000. At the time, the small island was completely barren and uninhabited.
Over the following decades, Grimshaw dedicated his life to restoring its ecosystem. He personally planted more than 16,000 trees, created walking trails, and reintroduced endangered species — most notably giant Aldabra tortoises — transforming the once-desolate island into a lush, thriving nature sanctuary.
Despite numerous offers from wealthy developers eager to turn the island into a luxury resort, Grimshaw consistently refused. He famously rejected a $50 million bid, determined to keep Moyenne Island as a protected natural haven open for people to enjoy rather than a private commercial venture.
In 2009, his vision was permanently secured when Moyenne Island was incorporated into the Sainte Anne Marine National Park, becoming the smallest national park in the world.
Grimshaw lived on the island until his death in 2012, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of conservation and environmental stewardship that continues to protect this unique paradise for future generations.

@matwils85 @Rainmaker1973 Redo the math. It is likely he planted 10 at a time.
English

@Rainmaker1973 He would have to plant a tree everyday for 43 years straight to "personally" plant 16,000 frees.
Hmm.

A federal judge ordered this administration to return people it had unlawfully deported.
Yet, Trump and his unconstitutional administration defied it.
A second judge weighed in.
They defied it again.
When a president treats court orders as optional, we are not in a constitutional democracy anymore. The threat of authoritarianism is more present than ever. And naming that clearly, without flinching, is the first step to fighting it.

@PattyMurray If you had to do this 7 times, trhen you are showing the world that you don't care about people of Iran.

@EshaAA33 Fuck yeah. Fuck their feelings. They didn't give a shit when 3,000 Americans died on 9/11. They didn't give a shit when 40,000 people died earlier this year. Fuck em. Eat all the bacon and enjoy it.

🥓 Schools today have students from many different religions and cultures, so some people believe certain foods should be removed to avoid offending anyone.
Others think students should have the freedom to choose what they want to eat, while many feel respect and inclusion should come first.
What do you think schools should do?

Some guy tipped me ten dollars in quarters, and I’m still trying to figure out what kind of person thinks that’s acceptable. I just finished a DoorDash order, and he casually mentions he forgot to tip in the app—which, fine, not ideal, whatever. Then he dramatically pulls out a literal roll of quarters like he’s handing me the crown jewels.
He looks me dead in the eye and says,
“Sorry man, I didn’t tip on the app, this is all I’ve got.”
Yeah, thanks. I love holding a handful of coins like it’s 1998. I don’t use change. I’m not a parking meter. I’m not walking around with rolls of quarters or dumping them into a Coinstar just to get the money I already earned. I took it because arguing over coins isn’t how I planned to spend my day, but that doesn’t make it okay.
Tipping in quarters is peak absurdity. Tip in the app, tip in bills, tip digitally—literally anything that doesn’t involve me schlepping around loose metal. Acting like this is normal? Pure comedy. And yes, no one should ever think a pocketful of coins counts as a tip.
