🚨 ATTENTION ALL HORSEMEN: After today’s monumental ruling in favor of Churchill Downs Incorporated over the unlawful and arbitrary behavior of HISA…let’s get something straight. There’s a lot of noise around the May 22 vote on Lasix. Here are the facts: Lasix is NOT being banned. Period. HISA does not have the authority, the power, or the legal standing to make that kind of ruling. And if they decide to act, once again, in an unlawful and arbitrary manner… I will file an immediate billion-dollar lawsuit against HISA and their indirect partners, The Jockey Club. Let’s stop pretending this isn’t all connected. Same ecosystem. Same funding. Same attorneys. I have 300+ horses and 80 mares bred. Any reckless, unlawful Lasix ban would cause massive financial damage, not just to me, but to horsemen across this industry. And let’s be honest… Many of the top veterinarians and trainers in this game support Lasix and understand its benefits. So let me say it again, loud and clear: Lasix will NOT be banned. And if they try… They will lose. Again. Mike from Queens Your Beloved Commissioner #FUJC

Yesterday one of the Evil Empire’s henchmen tried to take a shot at my credibility. 90% of this industry saw right through it. But here’s what they didn’t expect…the truth hits a lot harder than their little sponsored posts. Let’s talk about caring for the breed. For 15 years, the @JockeyClub has given just $23 million to aftercare. $23 million. In the same breath, they spend more on executive compensation and more on America’s Best Racing than they do making sure retired Thoroughbreds are safe for life. That alone should make every single person in this sport sick. But here’s the part that really tests your moral compass. In 2013, a horse named Orb won the Kentucky Derby. Bred by the Janney/Phipps family. Owned by the Janney/Phipps family. Two families worth Billions. For 40 years, the Chairman of the Jockey Club was either a Phipps or a Janney. Think about that moment. Winning the most prestigious race in the world with a homebred. The joy. The pride. The tears. Orb goes on to stud. He doesn’t become a commercial superstar. It happens. This is a hard game. Now imagine you have an 11-year-old Kentucky Derby winner who didn’t pan out as a stallion. What would you do??? If I’m ever blessed enough to win a Derby… That horse isn’t going anywhere. He’d be in my backyard. I’d feed him carrots and mints every morning, probably before I kiss my wife and daughter. Because that horse changed your life. But what did the leadership of the Jockey Club do??? They sold their Kentucky Derby winner to Uruguay for $50,000. Fifty thousand dollars. That’s what the sport’s most sacred trophy horse was worth to them when he stopped generating revenue. When the leadership of the Jockey Club tells you they “care about the breed”… When they tell you they’re “committed to the future of the Thoroughbred”… Remember this: When their Derby winner had no residual value, they shipped him to South America for pennies. This isn’t about business. This is about values. You don’t get to lecture the industry about stewardship while treating a Derby winner like excess inventory. If this doesn’t bother you, if this doesn’t hit your heart, then maybe you don’t love these horses the way you say you do. This sport is built on emotion. On loyalty. On gratitude. On doing right by the animal that makes all of this possible. You can’t preach legacy and practice liquidation. That’s the difference between gratitude and greed. ❤️🙏 How do you feel???

@ChadHartmanShow @PAOnTheMic If KFAN or the Vikings fire Paul Allen they will both be run out of town. When the best NFL play by play announcer moves to another team it will be as humiliating as Sam Darnold playing for another franchise in the Super Bowl!

@MN1184MN @natehoodstp Congrats, you win the award for the dumbest post on X today! To call Paul Allen a Nazi and to compare what's happening in MN to the Holocaust is a slap in the face to the millions of Jews killed in the actual Holocaust by actual Nazis.

.@KFAN1003 social media manager blocking me for using my 1st amendment right to speak out against their employee Paul Allen for criticizing Minnesotans who are out protesting ICE (such as Alan Page) and labeling them as paid protestors is certainly something. This is why I follow @SKORNorth instead.

The more I look at these PPs, the more I realize, in today’s world, Skip Away might’ve never won a stakes race. After his seventh start, a DNF, the comment reads: “distanced, bled.” Up to that point, he had zero stakes wins and never cracked a 94 Beyer. Then came Lasix. He ran the final 30 races of his career on it, 28 of those earning a 100+ Beyer. So what happens to Skip Away today??? He bleeds once, gets turned out for six months, then maybe comes back and bleeds again, and then maybe after another few months, he goes to Canada on Polytrack where Lasix is still allowed. We allow Lasix for 3-year-olds and up, but not for 2-year-olds or stakes races. WTF is that??? Lasix is OK sometimes but not others??? Explain that to me!!!!! You want horses like Skip Away again??? Then bring back Lasix in all races. Don’t tell me it’s fine one day and forbidden the next. Another stupid, inconsistent rule that makes absolutely no f$&kin sense!!!!!

Zero chance you’ll ever see PPs like this again. Here’s the reality of today’s world: If Skip Away ran now, he’d have been vet-scratched from the Derby, and at least five other starts. No way he’d pass HISA’s medication and treatment protocols. His jockey??? Fined ten times for crop rule violations. He’d have made one Breeders’ Cup start, not two. And in that maiden win, his third start, he’d have gone to the gate at 4-1, only for the CAWs to hammer him down to 4-5 and screw all the horseplayers. Skip Away was a Gen X horse like growing up in the 80s and 90s. We were built different!!!!!
