We’re over-governed. We need nuclear power. Don’t welcome me to my own country. RTs aren’t always endorsements. Cut red and green tape.

Australia's reckless renewables experiment is now in total collapse. Families are being crushed by the highest electricity prices in the developed world. Yet Australia is sitting on the world’s greatest energy resources. This includes the largest uranium reserves on Earth, some of the biggest coal and gas deposits anywhere and the capacity to be an energy superpower for generations. It’s on track to cost Australian taxpayers well over a trillion dollars. It is not delivering the reliable, affordable power our industries, businesses and households need to grow. Prime farming land is being carpet-bombed with giant wind and solar factories that only work when the wind blows and the sun shines. None of it will make a measurable difference to global temperatures — Australia produces less than 1.3 % of world emissions. This is no longer an energy policy. It is a shoddy taxpayer-funded racket that is actively dismantling the Australian economy. Any government serious about fixing this would pull the plug on the subsidies and mandates immediately and let abundant coal, gas and nuclear resources do what they were always meant to do: deliver cheap, reliable power 24/7. Voters must send the clearest possible message at the ballot box: reject any candidate still backing these failed, economy-wrecking projects. Australia deserves better. It’s time to put the lights back on.

I recorded this editorial on the prospects of electrification saving Australia from it's terrible liquid fuel security scenario. Electrification is great for certain uses. But the idea that it will quickly replace all fuel demand is nonsense. A short 🧵to expand. 1/

Here’s one to watch, Senator Alex Antic. Antic is a man of conscience If you’ve never heard of him, that’s exactly the problem. He’s one of the few politicians in Canberra who’s willing to stand up against the machine, even when it costs him. Antic is a Liberal Senator for South Australia, a lawyer by trade, he served on Adelaide City Council before being elected to the Senate in 2019. He’s seen the system from the inside, and he knows exactly how it works. Here’s why you should be watching him. In November 2021, he crossed the floor and voted with One Nation against his own government to oppose vaccine mandates and discrimination laws. Five Coalition senators broke ranks, he was one of them. In 2024, he was the only Liberal senator who voted against the bill banning children under 16 from social media. Not because he doesn’t care about kids, but because he believes parents, not the government, should decide what their children do. In 2026, he was the only Liberal senator who voted against the Albanese government’s hate speech laws. He stood alone in his own party room, every other Liberal voted with Labor, he didn’t. He’s currently fighting to repeal “no jab no pay” laws that withhold government benefits from families who don’t comply with childhood vaccine schedules. He’s been asking questions in Senate estimates about how childhood vaccines are tested and discovered they’re not even being put through proper placebo controlled trials. That should worry every parent in this country. He’s been warning about the rise of the digital surveillance state, smart cities tracking ordinary Australians, biometric data being collected without proper protection, and a digital ID framework that nobody asked for. Years before anyone else was talking about it. In 2023, he joined a cross party delegation to Washington DC alongside Barnaby Joyce, Monique Ryan, David Shoebridge, Peter Whish-Wilson and Tony Zappia, fighting for Julian Assange’s release. Left and right, all in one room, all agreeing that an Australian citizen deserved to come home. That tells you what kind of man he is, he’ll work with anyone if the cause is right. Now he’s blowing the whistle on the ASIO Amendment Number Two Bill, warning Australians that emergency powers brought in after 9/11 are about to be made permanent, with no sunset clause or proper judicial oversight, and restrictions on your right to a lawyer. Most of his colleagues will stay silent, he won’t. He votes his conscience, he pays the price, stands alone in his own party when he has to. He fights for free speech, parental rights, civil liberties and an end to government overreach. He’s been consistent for years, he hasn’t bent, hasn’t begged for favours and he hasn’t sold out to stay in the club. That’s the kind of politician this country needs more of, not less. Keep an eye on Alex Antic. What’s your thoughts…? 🇦🇺 Peter Lyndon-James 🇦🇺

Australia has more resources per person than any country in the world except for Saudi Arabia. Our fuel crisis is a choice, driven by Labor’s net zero obsession with the deindustrialisation of our country. And Labor’s only solution has been to subsidise the production of oil in OTHER countries. Instead of this madness, we MUST once again produce our own oil and guarantee our energy and national security. More in this week's CQToday.

Could be provided as semi detached housing lots or terrace houses as are popular in some inner city locations but mandating minimum lot sizes and density targets doesn’t guarantee a good housing outcome. The high immigration numbers are fanning the problem hia.com.au/our-industry/n…

Australia has recorded record-breaking migration levels with over 1.2 million net arrivals over 3 years, placing enormous pressure on housing, infrastructure and services. We are in a "Per capita" recession at the moment, and we are artificially stimulating demand. @gerardgholland

Australia’s renewables experiment is falling apart. It’s set to cost over a trillion dollars, it’s not delivering the reliable energy we need to grow the economy, and families are paying the price through higher power bills. On top of that, it’s chewing up valuable farming land and won’t make a difference to global temperatures at all. These industrial-scale projects have become a taxpayer-funded racket. A One Nation government would be quick to pull the plug on funding. Enough is enough. And at the ballot box, voters should send a clear message to any candidate backing these outrageous, failed projects.
