Dear young athletes- keep this photo saved to your phone and show the next person who says you have to focus on one sport in HS. The amount of kids I’ve heard say “I can’t risk getting hurt” or “my coach won’t let me” drives me crazy. You get one shot to be a HS athlete. @YouthInc

I’d give up a lot to have one more night of Friday Night High School football. One more game as a player. Was the best. Still is the best.

School is hard. Playing sports is hard. Graduating college is hard. Getting a job is hard. Working a 9-5 is hard. Buying a home is hard. Finding “the one” is hard. Being a good spouse is hard. Raising kids is hard. Life is hard. Suck it up, buttercup.

Linebacker is a crazy position. One play you’re covering a fast Receiver. The next play you’re taking on a huge Offensive Lineman. And the next play you’re meeting the Running Back in the A Gap. It’s the most dynamic position in all of sports.

Coaches, 257 players just got drafted into the NFL recently, compared to the NBA's 60 draft slots, I encourage you to recruit basketball & wrestling athletes to football. Their inherent athleticism, when properly coached, often translates very well to football.

I’ve coached undersized Linebackers who were great at defeating blocks. It had nothing to do with size or strength. It’s because they were DECISIVE. When you attack without hesitation, you’re tough to block.
