So Anthropic now claims there was no token-eating bug after all, it was all our fault for using Opus 4.6! Such dishonesty!
I cancelled my Max account and, for the first time, turned negative toward an AI company. They claim to have the highest ethics & we need to trust them!? 👎

Uh Oh... @AnthropicAI official response to everyone burning through their sessions in SessionGate is.. You're holding it wrong? Come on! Their recommendation is to: > Don't use Opus if you're on Pro > Don't use 1M context (they cost more despite anthropic setting them as default!?) > Do not resume large sessions after 1hr (not acknowledging the potential cache busting bug?) > Claim that no-one was overcharged. > No quotas reset (unlike Codex folks) I'm sure that this won't go well with the thousands of folks who experience significant decrease in the ability to use their Pro/Max plans and are cancelling in favor of other solutions. I don't want to dunk on Lydia, she's one of the few folks from Anth who actually acknowledged the community, please don't take this out on her, but continue voting with your wallets and sending them very quick sessions that eat most of your quota with /feedback people!

Idk what's going on with @AnthropicAI but they messed up the weekly limits badly it seems Anyone else with the issue? I've almost never hit the weekly limit on the x200 plan (except maybe 2-3x a few hours before the reset) and now I'm hitting it on Monday lol

not an April Fools joke, we rewrote the Claude Code renderer to use a virtual viewport
you can use your mouse, the prompt input stays at the bottom, and a lot more small UX wins people have been asking for

Today we're excited to announce NO_FLICKER mode for Claude Code in the terminal It uses an experimental new renderer that we're excited about. The renderer is early and has tradeoffs, but already we've found that most internal users prefer it over the old renderer. It also supports mouse events (yes, in a terminal). @romainhuet Amazing. Another great thing is that when your Claude credits run out after about 15 minutes of use, you can still keep working on your project to some extent.

My favorite thing about this plugin is that it’s built on the open-source Codex app server and the same open-source Codex harness.

It's a shame, but it might actually make sense:
• They need more compute
• They need to focus on agentic tools
• Sora is expensive
• It is hard to compete with Seedance and Kling (on the features and UX part)
• Anthropic’s momentum is a real threat (after Claude's 66mi views in 24h, I honestly think this is the main reason)
• They may have overextended themselves and fragmented their products too much

Sora is the ONLY video model that I can prompt SECOND BY SECOND and get fast cuts that understand the environment deeply with comprehensive reasoning of the surroundings such as to make the footage more immersive
How dumb is it to throw this away?!?! I’ve never seen another text based model able to do what Sora can do yet. And I’m not talking about Seedance SFX it’s literally reasoning the small details into each generation with Sora
I’ve spent thousands of dollars and have hours and hours of footage if they’d like to see what their model can do it’s the most powerful thing they have to some extent??

That is a shame. Not allowing faces is to punish users that will make great use of your tool because Hollywood got upset about bad users violating their IP. Punish who make illegal things instead. Let's wait for the new Kling or the big open-source video model that is coming soon.

Ad frequency on @x has become absurd lately. I’m on a paid plan and still get clusters of 3 or 4 ads in a row. They are unusually concentrated and it makes the experience feel broken. Is this actually a bug, @nikitabier?

A breakthrough in real-time video generation.
As a research preview developed with @NVIDIA and shared at @NVIDIAGTC this week, we trained a new real-time video model running on Vera Rubin. HD videos generate instantly, with time-to-first-frame under 100ms. Unlocking an entirely new creative paradigm and bolstering the foundations of our General World Model, GWM-1.
Real-time generation opens a fundamentally different design space for video models and world simulation. We're investing in co-designing our models alongside advances in hardware to keep pushing this frontier.

If Nano Banana (or any other image-gen tool) delivers a comprehensive aesthetic system, I'd agree.
I understand Midjourney v8 is disappointing because we expected Nano Banana-level image quality.
But honestly, there's zero competition when it comes to aesthetic control, style, art direction, and novelty.
Nobody else offers that.
That's why people like me and hundreds of thousands of other users pay for MJ, even if we need to fix its issues with more capable models on the market.

@abustin If grok image creates an aesthetic framework (sref system or similar) like midjourney has, it will be a game changer. Nobody has built that decently apart from them. Nanobanana is amazing but it's utilitarian. We need art direction tools like they've been building since v2
