Some personal news……I’ve been diagnosed with Stage IV advanced prostate cancer I’m fortunate to have a simply outstanding medical team looking after me, who I can’t thank enough - they are administering the best possible care with expertise, compassion and sensitivity.

Our car was scraped by a @BidfoodUK lorry. Their driver admitted fault and car went in for repair. Weeks later, repair's been done but the garage won't give the car back - because it says the company @BidfoodUK use to handle accidents like this doesn't pay its bills! Over2U BUK

Just finished reading The Twelfth Floor by the brilliant Michelle Kidd - the first Jack MacIntosh mystery I’ve read but certainly not the last. @AuthorKidd has the rare ability of making you want to read on not just at the end of every scene but the turn of every page

So @tfl, you’ve got a tannoy. Why not tell people? This has been going on for years. In 1969 they put men on the moon and you still can’t find a way of telling your long suffering passengers which train is going first.

Well done @tfl once again! I’m sitting on a train at Arnos Grove station at the north of the Piccadilly Line. It has two north bound platforms and the sign says my train is going first. Another train comes in - and goes off in front of us. So that’s five minutes of my life gone

Just finished reading City on Fire by @gbpoliceadvisor Graham Bartlett. A humdinger! His years at the sharp end of policing shine through to give this book compelling authenticity, plus an equally compelling main protagonist, Jo Howe. A spellbinding page-turner.

Just finished The Trap by @AvaGlassBooks. Brilliantly paced. At the start, she so envelops the reader in compelling characters and a web of intrigue that you can't put it down. But when she ups the pace, you can't read fast enough! And please bring back Kate Mackenzie, Ava!
