Today's Rare Pepe Lore Lesson™️ is Series 8, Card 11 - PEPETHEFROG by @official_coder. This is a 1/600 card with a current floor price of .000381 BTC ($24 USD). 209 wallets hold a copy of the card and the largest controls 11.33% of the total supply (68/600). Oliver used a stylized version of a 2016 press photo of Pepe The Frog creator Matt Furie standing in front of a wall of presumably his own work. The earliest known publication of the photo was 9 May 2016 on the the comic and graphic novel publishing company Fantagraphics' site. The same photo was widely used after its appearance there. Oliver added the text "Pepe the Frog needs your help!" "Join Matt Furie in making positive Pepe the Frog memes to battle against evil trolls: Don't forget to share nice Pepe's with the hashtag #SAVEPEPE" Oliver was only 16 when he made the card. He told me he was in the Rare Pepe Telegram chat at that time and making loads of Pepe memes. Three of them made it into the official Rare Pepe Project - SECURITYPEPE, PEPETHEFROG, and STACYPEPE. The timing of this card by Oliver is extraordinary. It was minted on 18 Oct 2016. Five days prior, Matt Furie published an essay in TIME entitled "Pepe the Frog's Creator: I'm Reclaiming Him. He Was Never About Hate." The next day the Anti Defamation League (ADL) launched the #SAVEPEPE campaign. Young Oliver wasn't meming a historical event, he was amplifying a campaign in real time! Hey Will, I hope you’re well. I’m exploring my next opportunity in crypto after spending the last 4 years as an independent OTC broker, building relationships and facilitating high-value digital asset transactions. Looking for roles in BD, partnerships, institutional sales or ecosystem growth. If anything comes to mind, I’d love to have a chat.

The biggest problem with job interviews is how one sided they are. The company puts itself in a superior position, while the candidate feels like they have to say everything necessary to get the job. That's a terrible way to evaluate whether there's actually a good fit. Interviews should be a conversation, not an interrogation. Both sides should be trying to figure out if they genuinely want to work together rather than a performance designed to hide the flaws. Otherwise, expectations don't match reality, and everyone wonders why the hire didn't work out.

before i went into an interview recently, someone gave me advice that stayed with me throughout my recruiting process: the point of an interview is *not* actually to get a job. it’s to reveal as much of yourself as possible, and understand as much as possible about the company/role, to see if there’s real alignment there’s such a tendency in interviews to become performative, to say the right thing because you can usually intuit what they want to hear. that you care about X mission or Y role when really you deeply don’t. but getting an offer for something that isn’t actually a fit or what you want is ultimately not in anyone’s interest, neither yours nor the company’s the more honest both parties can be, even within all the constraints, the better
