i dont think people talk enough about what its like to believe in God and still feel completely abandoned by Him. like imagine praying every night for years asking for help, for comfort, for a sign, for literally anything and life just keeps getting worse. there were nights i prayed so hard for Him to save me. genuinely save me. and there were other nights i begged Him because I couldnt take it anymore. neither happened.

Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary has called for an outright ban on early morning pre-flight pints at airport bars. He said he “fails to understand” why anyone is served beer at 5 or 6am and wants alcohol sales restricted to normal licensing hours only. O’Leary has long demanded a strict two-drink limit per passenger. He revealed Ryanair is now forced to divert flights almost daily because of drunken and aggressive passengers – up from once a week a decade ago. The boss accused airports of “profiteering” by pushing early booze and exporting the chaos to airlines. Critics argue: "Drunks shouldn’t be allowed to board in the first place. Stop selling alcohol on board." and "Not just early morning. All alcohol should be banned at the airport and on the plane. It has no place in a confined space and full of people" Thoughts?

The PSNI made a complete bollocks of handling that car jamboree or whatever the feck it was in West Belfast tonight. Sending Land Rovers slowly up a main road as brick-magnets long after mass law-breaking had been allowed to develop without hindrance was an embarrassment.

@sarahknapton @JackJDees I have been a police officer for nearly 27 years, was on OFC in ARVs for 10 years and worked on the national taser course in 2022. I don't ever remember being trained to kick someone in the head, although any use of force can be justified in certain circumstances

Police are taught to kick people with lethal weapons in the head because it's a natural instinct to protect your head, leading them to drop the weapon. Don't carry lethal weapons, don't get kicked in the head. Simples.

Dr. James pennebaker spent 30 years studying why some people recover from trauma and others don't. He found the same pattern in every person WHO healed. It had nothing to do with therapy or time. Medicine ignored it. His patients didn't. 🪡

@Manifest_Lord traumas like neglect and abandonment often happen before the brain is even capable of forming narrative memories. You can't write your way out of a feeling that lives in your nervous system as a neuronal imprint.

It is because of genetics and early childhood environment which shapes temperament. A child with a sensitivity born into a highly stressful or abusive home will have lifelong trauma issues. This all happens 0-3 before memory. Then later in life they seek help and the therapist will look for a reason within memory and attribute it to that. The people that heal from trauma had a good enough earlychildhood with genetic strength to produce a temperament that can deal with it in the way described. What we are seeing is how early childhood shapes everything after including solutions.
