Part of the problem in conservative media right now is that everyone is just repeating the same 3 or 4 political talking points over and over again. It’s boring and the audience is exhausted by it. Cultural analysis takes more time to research and think about, and there isn’t a predetermined position you’re supposed to take based on your “team,” so most people in the space avoid it. But that’s what makes it interesting and fun.
