Systemic Therapy in Patients With Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer @ASCO Guideline Update ascopubs.org/doi/full/10.12… The updated ASCO guideline provides evidence-based recommendations for the systemic treatment of patients with metastatic castration-resistant #ProstateCancer (mCRPC). Therapeutic options with demonstrated overall survival benefit include androgen receptor pathway inhibitors (ARPIs), 💊PARP inhibitors, chemotherapy (docetaxel, cabazitaxel), radiopharmaceuticals ☢️(radium-223, 177Lu-PSMA-617), and sipuleucel-T. For patients with BRCA1/2 alterations, ARPI–PARP inhibitor combinations or PARP inhibitor monotherapy are recommended based on prior treatments. Continued androgen-deprivation therapy, early somatic genetic testing, 🦴bone-protective agents for patients with bone metastases, and palliative care are advised.
