4/ These attacks took place concurrently with President Macron's visit to Damascus, the first visit by a leader of a major EU country to Syria since Ahmed al-Sharaa assumed power late in 2024, following the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad.

3/ The two successive explosions were reported by @syriahr, one near the Ministry of Tourism, and another near the Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus, explaining that one resulted from an explosive device planted in a vehicle, and another place in a garbage can.

[Thread] 1/ Today, Damascus witnessed successive explosions resulting from several explosive devices, according to local sources. Initial information indicated that one of the explosions occurred in an area near the route of French President Emmanuel Macron.

4/ Despite the recognition of education certificates, major challenges remain: including the question of education in one's mother-tongue, curriculum integration, recognition beyond Syria, and the long-term status of DAANES educational institutions.

3/ Ali said: “For years, our students continued studying despite war, displacement, and the absence of recognition,” she said. “The legitimacy of this education came... from the determination of students, teachers, and families... Today, these efforts are being acknowledged.”

Last week, approx. 1,300 SDF members entered a training program under the Syrian Ministry of Defense (SMD), marking a significant step in the ongoing integration of NES' forces into state military institutions. This is the first group of trainees, with two more groups to follow.

"Internal Security Forces of the STG & SDF intervened. Those responsible for the escalation were later arrested. At present, the situation in Kobane is calm. Some social media pages circulated claims that the army had launched attacks. These reports are false."

According to our sources on the ground: "Some tensions occurred between Kurdish and Arab communities. In Ashme village, which is located near Ja’di village, a dispute broke out between residents of the two villages. The situation escalated, and weapons were used."
