Scottish wind farms got paid not to produce 37% of planned output in Jan-Jun 2025, as their electricity couldn't be used locally or moved where needed. Costs were charged to consumers’ bills

@DavidFBailey @BitcoinMagazine The UK has wasted 700m pounds of electricity because they can't store it or transport it. Germany too. California wastes massive amounts of solar. Bitcoin mining needs to be seen as the solution

Countries, States are all looking to solve a debt problem without additional burden to the people and yet they're throwing money into the ground, into the air, or into the wind. Variable, on demand power into the hardest money is the answer. Bitcoin Mining is here and continues to be the solution.

California has a Solar problem. The famous duck curve is seen where Solar energy is all produced during peak sunlight and then inevitably falls as the sun sets. Without enough transportation and storage infrastructure massive amounts of energy is wasted, to the tune of approximately 2.6 million megawatts in 2024. Think of all the power for homes in San Francisco and you have an idea of scale.
