You poor-poor people over at the Turkish foreign ministry.
1) There is no mentioned of electing Muftis in the Lausanne Treaty. We suggest that you honor Kemal Ataturk’s signature.
2) There is no mention of a Turkish minority in the Lausanne Treaty, there is only mentioned of a religious Greek Muslim minority, so , again, we ask you to honor Kemal Ataturk’s signature.
3) The Muftis are not even elected in Turkey, so what gives you the ethical right to request that they should be elected in Greece?
As the whole world can see, you have nothing, you have no legal grounds for any of these crazy demands and accusations.

@Serkan194258 @TurkishCentury Not at all. Israel is a rogue state that urgently needs to be dealt with by every decent nation on earth (inc. Turkey). They need to be stopped and punished harshly. But that is not to say Erdogan has not eroded the state institutions in Turkey. Ataturk's Turkey needs a comeback.

@tashecon Maybe not stop Russia, but try to understand their concerns. I think Turkey is one of the few countries that can see both sides of the issue when it comes to Russia. There's a reason they felt the need to attack Ukraine, it didn't come out of the blue.

Rutte should resign for this. Truly shameful. I don’t care if he has some inside line to Trump - it is not working, Trump does what he wants anyway. It’s time for European NATO to stand on its own two feet. With Turkiye, Poland, Finland, Ukraine we can stop Russia.

This is beyond shameful: x.com/atrupar/status… When asked if it "bothered him at all" when Trump "threatened to kill the entire Iranian civilization," Rutte's response was simply: "what I want you to know is I support the President and I know a large part of Europe do." If Europe cared at all about the "values" it supposedly has, this should be cause for immediate dismissal, and potentially criminal prosecution - publicly endorsing genocide would be classified as illegal hate speech in several EU countries, including in the Netherlands (Rutte's own country).
