Excelente reunión con el Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de Honduras en donde ahondamos sobre la importancia del cumplimiento y promoción del DIH incluso en países en paz a través de la ratificación e implementación de tratados y la redacción de informes voluntarios.

En ocasión del 75 Aniversario de los Convenios de Ginebra que constituyen el núcleo del Derecho Internacional Humanitario @CICR_es @cruzrojahon el Gobierno de la Presidenta @XiomaraCastroZ ratifica su compromiso para el cumplimiento de estos principios y la importancia de su cumplimiento. Fue un gusto recibir a la Sra. Romina Morello, Asesora Jurídica para las Américas del Comité Internacional de la Cruz Roja, al Sr. Guela Sekhniachvili representante del CICR, al Presidente de la CRH José Juan Castro y la delegación que les acompañó. Conversamos sobre la valiosa cooperación existente en temas cómo migración, desplazados, respuesta a desastres naturales, salud y apoyo en centros penitenciarios entre otros y especialmente la aplicación del Derecho Internacional Humanitario en el planeta y los desafíos enfrentados como país y como Región Latinoamericana. Se resaltó, la importancia de la reactivación por parte del Gobierno de Honduras de la Comisión Hondureña del Derecho Internacional Humanitario a través de la Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores y Cooperación internacional, y la importancia de los trabajos que realiza la subcomisión jurídica, la subcomisión de difusión y promoción; y subcomisión de señalización, ya que la misma, se encontraba inactiva desde el año 2016.
