He loved and championed Detroit, spending his twilight years practicing law in his hometown and growing the public policy school at Wayne State. His presence will be earnestly missed, but his legacy will be deeply felt in our state for many years to come.

He defined ferocious oversight, showing us that our senators should fight for accountability over how the tax dollars paid by hard working folks should be spent.

I was saddened to hear about former Sen. Carl Levin's passing today. Carl was a lion for Michigan workers in the Senate over three and a half turbulent decades.

These bills won't do a thing to improve the security of Michigan's elections, because their supporters don't care about security. They care about promoting the Big Lie and Donald Trump's egotistical refusal to admit that he lost the election.

A few thoughts on the @MIGOP anti-voter bills: We should be following best practices supported by bipartisan clerks to promote and support voting options, but instead Republicans are adopting radical new restrictions on voting rights.
