@Lukiahas @MattWhitmanTMBH A GJ issues indictments based on probable cause (more likely than not). A criminal jury must find beyond a reasonable doubt. Those are very different hurdles. The GJ is convinced that there's a good chance a crime was committed, but they don't have to be convinced one was.

@MattWhitmanTMBH I agree with you in theory. The part that is missing from the conversation is the fact that it has already gone through a grand Jury. The gj's purpose is to validate that the prosecutor has enough evidence to convince them (gj) that at least _a_ crime was committed.

Non-Trump supporter here to say I have a massive problem with the former Speaker of the House botching her language about how criminal charges and trials work in our country. It's the government's job to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, not the accused's job to prove innocence. Innocent until proven guilty is a core, foundational principle of our legal system. That goes for people we like and especially for people we don't. The Speaker needs to correct herself, delete her tweet and apologize to the country.

@robertjforrest I love that the church in Philippi is one of the Macedonian churches talked about in 2 Cor. 8. This is a church that was adamant about storing up treasures in eternity, even though they had very very little earthly treasures!

@BrandonsTwitta @randyalcorn Seems like the point is that any sentence in any writing can only be understood in its context. Interpretation moves in discerning how the context impacts the meaning, but things must be kept in context. Otherwise, I might claim you encouraged Randy by saying "Keep on king."
