@ianharber People aren’t ‘cancelling’ Rowling for being Christian/ they’re responding to her ongoing, real-time activism against trans people- a group she clearly despises Lewis and Tolkien aren’t alive, lobbying, or marginalising people Context matters.

Cancelling Harry Potter because of Rowling but remaking/doing spin offs of Narnia and LOTR despite Lewis and Tolkien being two of the most prominent Christian figures of the last century who undoubtedly share Rowling’s views she’s been cancelled for. Make it make sense.

Congressional GOP can’t codify DOGE cuts. Can’t codify Trump’s border policies. Can’t mandate Voter ID. Can’t cut $6 billion noncitizen welfare program. Can’t cut NED funding for communist color revolutionaries. CAN pass a resolution for “Bipawtisan” Mardi Gras dog parade.

🚨 BREAKING: Senate Leader John Thune confirms HE'S FORCING A VOTE on the SAVE America Act, he will put Democrats ON THE RECORD opposing the 85-15 issue This MUST pass! Voter ID, citizenship — common sense 🇺🇸 "We will put the Democrats on the record! [...] We'll get it on the floor, have a vote, we will make sure the Democrats are ON THE RECORD." "It's a stark contrast between Republicans and Democrats on how they want to handle elections." "This is gonna put them in a VERY difficult position. If I were running as a Democrat in the 2026 midterm elections, I would NOT want to have to defend that position!" @LeaderJohnThune

@DavidBarbelo @RestoreBritain_ It’s funny that a gang of 18th-century Americans had the foresight to realize that the biggest threat to citizens was the government and that the people had to maintain the ability to defend themselves against it. There are costs but most of the violence is localized and tribal.

We need to roll back firearms legislation 100 years, assume the great majorty of the UK population are not homicidal lunatics—and that criminals won’t hand in their guns! Before 1920, UK civilians could legally keep guns and ammunition at home without licenses. Ownership was mostly unrestricted, governed by custom and property rights, with only minimal local rules for carrying firearms in public. What happened?

Messaging is the Republicans’ central problem. 🚨Here is a blueprint for Republicans and Trump to follow if they want even a chance at the midterms🚨 We’re now less than a year out from the 2026 midterms, and Republicans, as usual, are struggling to master the art of clear, punchy messaging and effective pitching. Democrats aren’t exactly brilliant at it either, but they’ve figured out one thing: keep it dead simple—sixth-grade reading level at most. Simplicity wins with voters. Long, wordy speeches and policy-wonk pontification turn people off and sound like elitist bullshit to the average low-propensity voter—the very demographic that showed up in huge numbers and elected Trump in 2024. So here’s a straightforward game plan to organize Republican talking points into messaging that actually lands with the people who matter most for the midterms. First, remember who put Trump over the top in 2024 and how he reached them.  The four key demographics that delivered the win were: - Millennials (especially younger ones) - White working-class voters without college degrees - Black men (a historic swing) - Latino men (especially working-class) These are still the groups Republicans must own in 2026. Trump reached them by going where they actually spend their time—not cable news, not think-tank panels, but long-form podcasts and streaming platforms: Joe Rogan, Theo Von, Nelk Boys, Adin Ross, Tim Pool, Shawn Ryan Show, Andrew Schulz, Charlamagne tha God, Drink Champs, Logan Paul, PBD Podcast, etc. Question: Why on earth aren’t Trump-world surrogates and GOP candidates flooding these same platforms right now? It’s a gold mine—if they can just learn to speak plainly and stop sounding like they’re reading from a Heritage Foundation white paper. The number-one issue that moved these four demographics in 2024 was illegal immigration and how it drives down wages and drives up the cost of living. Republicans need to lean in hard—create urgency and righteous anger about mass deportation (which Trump has already promised). Hammer four simple, relatable points in plain language: - Government benefits get watered down when millions of illegals take SNAP, Medicaid, housing aid, etc. - Rent and home prices explode because illegals compete for the same scarce apartments and homes. - Crime—especially violent crime and crimes against women—spikes in communities flooded with illegals. - Most importantly: Their paychecks shrink because illegal labor undercuts American wages in construction, hospitality, trucking, etc. Just flash a graphic of a real paycheck on screen and circle how many tax dollars now go to people who aren’t even supposed to be here. That image alone is worth ten speeches. These four affordability pain points hit every single one of the key demographics—Millennials, the white working class, Black men, and Latino men. It unites them. You create a broad, multiracial, working-class coalition fueled by shared anger. That’s political gold. Second big issue: affordability. People are still getting crushed by inflation and cost of living. Republicans need to explain—in three short, concrete sentences—exactly how the “Big Beautiful Bill” (or whatever major reconciliation package passes in 2025) will put money back in their pocket and make life cheaper. Give them three tangible wins they can feel. This blueprint must apply to all Republican midterm candidates, not just Trump surrogates—no buy-in on the strategy means no Trump endorsement or RNC/other GOP funds. Bottom line: With less than 10 months until the 2026 midterms, Republican candidates and the Trump administration need to get out now and talk straight into the Black and Latino communities, into Millennials and the working class—on the platforms where they actually hang out. The administration already has some of the best communicators in politics: JD Vance, Stephen Miller, and Trump himself (when he stays on script). Time is running out!

Republicans are not going to do things to undermine law enforcement officials’ ability to do their jobs. We need to give ICE, the TSA, the Coast Guard, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and other critical agencies the security of a full-year funding bill.

@SenEricSchmitt @NickJFreitas It’s easy to say things like “mass deportations are coming,” but no one believes Congress will carry through with making them happen. Republicans have cowardly squandered their majorities and will happily slink back into the minority where they can sit comfortably and beg for $

Why does it not concern MAGA more than this administration is not locking in Trump's executive orders through legislation? If GOP loses the House this fall, then we're in trouble. And if the Dems take the White House in 2028, it's over.

@Natalia_in_VA @CynicalPublius There is always a next election to worry about. Delaying DOGE because it would enrage the NOVA fed employees and affect the VA election would just push it up against the midterms when Congressional Republicans are even more cowardly than normal.

Trump made a mistake by starting to fire the Federal government employees last year. There was no strategy - DOGE was throwing red meat to Trump voters and not taking Virginia gubernatorial election into consideration. Everyone knows that NOVA is full of government bureaucrats- they should have won the election first and then started the firings.

RE: Virginia As we all watch Virginia descend into an evil maelstrom of Marxist pro-criminality, please allow me to explain what happened and what the remedy is. Think back to 2024. One of the major reasons the American people elected Donald Trump was so he would fulfill his campaign promise of reducing the size, scope and power of the evil Leviathan housed in the federal administrative state that controls our daily lives in a grotesquely unconstitutional manner. This necessarily meant greatly reducing the number of federal civilian employees. As someone who has spent many years in military uniform supervising civilian federal employees, I can assure you that 95% of those civil service employees completely and utterly disregard the fact that their boss is the American electorate. So when the American electorate says “We think your job equals tyranny and we don’t want you employed in that job anymore,” instead of recognizing that the only people entitled to make this decision are the American voters, they resist, thinking that they are somehow more important than the Constitution and the electorate. It just so happens that the great majority of these unrepentant federal workers reside in Northern Virginia. So when Trump did what the American people wanted him to do and he fired so many of these unneeded leeches, those unionized leeches decided to vote Democrat at all costs, as a matter of preserving their wholly unnecessary jobs and cushy livelihoods. Another key fact is that the suburban areas of Northern Virginia like Fairfax and Loudon Counties control state-wide elections, and federal workers control those counties. So the inevitable happened and those unneeded, rent-seeking federal workers swung control of Virginia to Democrats. And guess what? Those elected Democrats took opposition to reducing the size of the federal government as a mandate to rapidly enact an Orwellian set of laws that would make Karl Marx and Che Guevara blush: outrageous taxation; elimination of basic human rights like those embodied in the Second Amendment; pro-illegal alien policies; refusal to enforce federal immigration laws; draconian rules mandating that confused children can destroy their genitals without parental consent; laws supporting criminality; and a host of other insane laws and policies designed to turn Virginia into a modern version of Ingsoc. Who is to blame for this evil? Federal workers. Their refusal to acknowledge the will of their boss (i.e., YOU, the American voter) has tossed an entire state into Marxist despair. The ability of federal civil "servants" to cling to their cushy, unneeded jobs is why Virginia has become an un-American hellscape overnight. They simply DO NOT CARE that their fellow Americans are condemned to live in crime and tyranny, because that preserves their cushy sinecures. They are not civil "servants." They are civil MASTERS, and they don't care what you think. Place the blame where it belongs. Federal workers did this to you, Virginia. THEY are to blame. But there are two ways Trump can remedy this dire state of affairs: 1. Keep on cutting the bloated federal Leviathan. 2. Move federal agencies out of DC and spread them across the rest of the country, depriving this unionized cabal of unelected bureaucratic tyrants of the nefarious power of concentration. I have a message for Virginia (less Fairfax and Loudon Counties): the rest of America is here to save you. Hold fast, don’t give up, and we WILL eventually save you from this tyranny. MAGA. MVGA.

Congress will never cut off the spending spigot unless We the People force them to rein it in. That’s why I have been urging state legislators around the country to back efforts to adopt a U.S. constitutional amendment to require a balanced federal budget, like Florida has done.   As of today, 28 states have passed convention applications for a balanced budget amendment. We need six more for an Article V Convention. Today in Boise, I asked lawmakers to make Idaho the next state to join the effort for a federal Balanced Budget Amendment.   Let’s get it done!
