I confess that I, too, find Agincourt far too overrated and receiving too much attention, when there were many more battles and sieges to be fought. There was Baugé in 1421, Cravant in 1423, and Verneuil in 1424, among others. And even victorious sieges before Orléans, most notably Mont Saint-Michel, cruelly overlooked by contemporary chroniclers, and also the resistance of Montargis and Vendôme in 1427, which was a French victory against the English advance on the Loire to encircle Orléans.

The British managed to convince the world that the middle point of the 100 years Wars was somehow the last battle we should care about. On one hand I respect the hustle, on the other Im tired of hearing about distorted versions of this battle.

More accurate to say Lord Of The Rings is British culture and Britons historically are white, much like neck rings are (were?) a specific African culture (Ndebele) and the Ndebele historically are black. Creation by one culture isn’t owned by all cultures made up of the same race.

Ya, I was for preemptively killing the filibuster in early 2025. Dems ran on killing it in 2024, so GOP may as well have done so unless Dems agreed to make it a constitutional amendment. But killing it in March of 2026, with Dems now threatening to take the Senate? Nah. Shoulda done it earlier. Little point now. I would force the talking filibuster though.
