i'm no flyers fan, but them coming back from down 3-0 in game 7 to come back from down 3-0 in the series is one of the coolest things in playoff history

@PapaFlyers Jett was noticeably quicker and night and day more effective on the forecheck. MM was not playing top 9 forward type of hockey and he is a defensive liability. He needs to the best guy/sniper on the 3rd line or a PP specialist to be worth dressing. He was playing minus.

Did no one press Tocchet on why he sat one of the guys who helped him get to not only to the second round but the playoffs in general for a kid who played out of his normal position who never played an NHL playoff game before? Are we seriously just gonna let that slide?

@PHLY_Flyers @charlieo_conn Miss me with the “he wasn’t good in the series” argument. As a coach you need to play to your players strengths. Mitchkov was not put in any position to succeed. Of course he didn’t stand out when he had no ice time, minimal pp time, played on a defensive line.

It’s fair to quibble with Michkov and some of his habits as they pertain to playing “winning hockey.”
BUT, this is gravy for PHI and if they plan on being a contender, they need him to be a 100-pt game breaker & learn habits. Their development strategy for him is inexplicable.
