Bertie said true things. And you are trying to shame him for saying true things. The government does the same with the Irish people. If we say immigration is too high, or certain cultures are unwise to bring here in large numbers, they call us far right. Sky high immigration, during a housing crisis. It's madness. You can't explain why you are falsely saying Bertie's comments are allegedly "racist". It's all about shaming, nothing more.

Bertie Ahern on his immigration comments : " I don't think there's anything wrong with talking about what the people are talking about." "If you mention an issue the people are talking about and you're jumped on, that's a sad day for speech."

They are others though. How else could you possibly mention people from the Congo, without explicitly and implicitly othering them. They are "others" by virtue of existing, because they are from the Congo. AnOTHER place. You are trying to shame Irish people into being afraid to talk about the issues facing us. Disgraceful.

@RakeLark @Mick_O_Keeffe Nope. I not creating any shame. In a week when Sligo born lady has being publicly racially abused to a horrendous extent we have had a Taoiseach spew racist remarks towards Africans and Muslims. It’s not good enough. You may differ, that’s your choice. You live in a Republic

"This vicious illness doesn't pick and choose anybody." While matchdays came and went, Gary O’Neill was facing something much bigger than football. He speaks publicly for the first time about his cancer diagnosis and what he faced in the months that followed.

As part of their 3rd level studies a good friend is conducting an investigation into “Athlete experience of retirement from organised sport”. If you’re over 18 and retired from organised sport your input via the below survey will be invaluable. Thanks forms.cloud.microsoft/Pages/Response…

@declanganley Get a grip Declan, The guy conducting the interview is a self proclaimed citizen journalist who is widely regarded as being a prominent anti-immigrant activist. Any campaigner willing to allow such an individual interview them and expects to be taken seriously is mistaken.

@BoardOfPeace good evening, war is the opposite of peace, what’s with your radio silence on the ongoing war between USA, Israel, Iran?. Surely as “peace” is the focus of “the board” you would be calling for all parties to this conflict to do the opposite of war immediately

@BoardOfPeace 🤔 Will the USA 🇺🇸 and its ally Israel 🇮🇱 should it start a war on Iran 🇮🇷 be removed from this board? Or rather remove themselves?. Given War is the opposite of Peace, a board focused on peace couldn’t be allowing members to be out there proliferating war, could it?. ✌️

@IRFURugby and @Munsterrugby No need to allow the haters to silence the majority. Turning off comments, feeds into a culture where we ignore the importance of facing down our opponents and not being silenced. Good luck and respect to anyone who puts on the jersey

For a country to survive, there has to be a common culture. Nobody dies to defend a “multicultural economic zone”! American culture, with its English-Scotts-Irish origin, is great and worth fighting for. Some may not realize it, but that’s why people come here. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Important segment starting at 25 : 39 in Tucker’s video on who is a “Heritage American”, a now necessary term. A young Anthony Scalia, future Supreme Court justice, upholding Anglo-American law, consciously bristled at his ethnic and religious distinction from the WASPs whom foreign professors assigned a foundational status. But then he went to England and saw it and felt it;
