Should you report a dust swirl as a landspout? My personal checklist: 1. Be realistic; does it look like NWS needs to know? 2. Is it long-lived, and with a laminar funnel or wall cloud? 3. Is it under a *non-supercellular* storm? If all 3 are yes, report it.

@GBOFARMS1 this guys just mad he couldn’t skim free footage from his local chasers.

Have you ever had an accident before? How should we crucify you? Upside down? On a mountain? That town was a shit show because those idiots in charge blocked 2 of the 3 routes through town for no reason, funneling every bit of traffic (both local and chaser) through a single road directly through the city.

This guy wrote a dissertation on why his local chasers that he probably pays zero dollars can’t get footage they’re not entitled to, then started begging local law enforcement to break the law (as it sits today) so he can monopolize the engagement for free. It’s actually hilarious.

a 50 mile by 2 mile stretch in far northwest Alabama is kinda not disgustingly, terribly awful for storm chasing. that’s all I can do.
