The Mississippi Delta needs one. Badly. So many nocturnal tornadoes that take lives. Majority are high precip in a heavily wooded region where horizon visibility is already minimal. Not to mention the number of mobile homes and vulnerable structures in this region. #Wx

Morton, TX at real speed. Some tornadoes are loud, violent grinders that send a chill down your spine. Morton was quiet. Peaceful. Just a mesmerizing display of dust. The only noise was the inflow at your back. Look at the swirling motion of the bright white collar cloud, and the adjacent satellite tornado. I always wonder what kind of funnel was hidden inside the dust. Some people may disagree, but I think the massive wall of red dust made it 100x cooler. It’s not very often you see that.

@Brady_Wx Good in theory. Execution, particularly the performance and evolution of the RRFS down the line, will be the key. Improving the hot start CAMs is one of the more important things they could do in short range forecasting right now. Not sure why everyone is freaking out.

Just wait until y’all learn that the ultimate plan is to also replace HRRR with RRFS (v2) The goal is to have a more unified model system. One model/ens for short range forecasting.
