I will be going to bed tonight with acute awareness of the emptiness of @keonne side of the bed, I will be wondering how he is coping serving the first of 1826 days in federal prison for a crime he is innocent of. I will be praying for his safety and quick return to me. We may be apart, but our love remains as steadfast as ever. This, I hold onto with all my heart.

Our Christmas tree is up, hanging with ornaments we’ve collected over the years, each one a happy memory of better times. This will be our first Christmas apart in 14 years. While Christmas feels significant with it being just six days away, it's the days that follow that I truly dread. For the past 14 years, @keonne and I have spent nearly every day together. The thought of not being able to walk into his office for an unexpected hug, to share a funny animal picture, or to pester him for his attention is going to be incredibly difficult. I know this situation is real, but a part of me still struggles to accept that it has come to this. Since the raid on our home in April 2024, I have often thought that surely this must be the moment when they realize their mistake, and this nightmare would come to an end. Just returned home after dropping my husband @keonne off at FPC Morgantown, to begin serving a 5year prison term for a crime he is innocent of. My first instinct was to reach for my phone to let him know I arrived safely. This is a habit I need to learn to break. I’m uncertain when I will next be able to speak with my husband, as it can take several days for inmates to gain access to the phone system. For now, I will simply have to wait. #pardonsamourai
