@Room3328 I have not given up on the possibility that England can learn and embrace the substantial upside of an independent Scotland and a United Ireland… even though betrayal is something I live with every day.

Recalls the map of the British military garrison in Ireland, some of which we still endure
Ken 🏴🏴🇪🇺@outofunion
THIS.. Is how the British Government forced its will upon the Scottish people… With MILITARY FORCE. Never forget the horrors committed to ensure Scots would never try and be free ever again.

@repnews A Celtic revival awaits
It is around the corner
Its reconstruction is about to happen
As an Irish-Scot / Scottish born, Irish diaspora
I cannot wait to see this
Once we are Independent / Ireland re-United
We can form a Celtic type political instrument (like the Balts)
🏴💚🇮🇪
English

@repnews 2/2) These “Celts” that acted on behalf of the British Empire deserved all the resistance they faced
Any Celt that worked for the Empire (or England) did so to benefit the Brits. They never acted on behalf of Scot/Ire/Wales as Indy nations.
Only Nationalist and Republicans did
English

@JasonBassler1 He financed the Nazis to power
People are conditioned to deny it on demand

Montagu Norman was the most powerful central banker of the early 20th century. In a 1924 speech to the United States Bankers Association, he said:
“By dividing the voter through the political party system, we can get them to expend their energies in fighting for questions of no importance.”
100 years later, people are still trapped in the same left-vs-right divide while the State keeps expanding.

Scotland.
A nation created through the amalgamation of Celtic Picts, Scots and Britons with Scottish Gaelic (the first Lingua Scotica) as the sole living linguistic representative of their common Celtic origins - a Celtic nation, among Celtic sister nations.
Or Scotland, the mere northern "variant" of Germanic England, a land of "Anglo-Saxon speech which was the tongue of the great Scots civilization"?
While both languages must be honoured, a nation only gets one soul, and only one of these origin stories can be true. Ireland and Wales have already realised that.
As "Braid Scots" is increasingly asserted in Scotland as "THE tongue" of "Scots civilisation", as "YOUR language", and THE "Mither Tongue", it may be that we will need to make a choice in coming years regarding which story we accept and - as an elder nation within the Celtic world - the choice we make won't affect us alone. We need only look at the Ulster Unionist's weaponisation of the "Scots" language against Gaelic to realise that.
It seems we are making that choice and embracing our Celtic origins and our Celtic brethren in the pursuit of joint freedom.
But time will truly tell.

@90MinuteCynic Never understood it either really
Most Scots look up right to the English unfortunately, the inferiority complex is embarrassing really…
We would be more appropriated to the Dutch League than anything for comparison imho
English

@Sarahjdublin “Irish people can be any race and still be Irish”
Only if the person is born/birthed on Ireland.
English

@HazelLyon16 @SeannachaidhS @BoycottsBat @TheMehOffice They cant handle the fact England isnt a Celt nation, never have, never will be. The English/England is Germanic. They assume British identity over Celt nations/ethnicities to politically control us. Fuck England and the UK state.
English

Master race? You're the one trying to force a label on an entire nation. I'm just refusing it.
Your own link says Celtic languages survive in Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Ireland, Brittany, not England and whoever the ones it's speaking about in England wouldn't have called themselves Celts.
Because England isn't a Celtic nation. That's your history, not my 'master race' nonsense. British optional? Alway
English

I'm also Scottish not British 💪🏴
🏴𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙖𝙩🔰🚜@LJMoffat81
Scottish not British.
English

@GaryWhite1997 @Valhalla322 @IFBMedia @jamesmuzanhy Theres that Man Utd thing I was telling you about @RobByrne286793
Funny when Man Utd wasnt created by any Irish. Look at the Irish create illusions because they cant handle Celtic was created by the Irish 😁
Stop using James Connolly over there, he was born in Scotland 👍🏻
English

@Valhalla322 @IFBMedia @jamesmuzanhy And those claiming glasgow celtic is an club diminish the relevance of a) our own league and clubs and b) scotland, its league and clubs. Celtic and man united and many other clubs around the world were founded by Irish immigrants- you dont see man untd claiming its Irish?
English

@Valhalla322 @GaryWhite1997 @IFBMedia @jamesmuzanhy Since many are, they should stop using James Connolly. Hes Scottish.
English

@GaryWhite1997 @IFBMedia @jamesmuzanhy Celtic was founded by Irish emigrants and has a huge following in Ireland and Scottish people descended from Irish emigrants. Denying the Irish dimension of Celtic is like denying the Irish dimension of Irish America.
English

@GaryWhite1997 @jamesmuzanhy @IFBMedia On the official Celtic video ;Celtic FC - The Official History (1988). Celtic is described by themselves as quote “Irish institution registered as a Scottish football Club.”
So, tell me, how that is not correct?
English

@Room3328 @jamesmuzanhy @IFBMedia Scotland is a fantastic country. Love it there. But its still a differ country and a different football league. I not sure why your being so daft about it.
English

@TheMehOffice @HazelLyon16 @craig_mcleary “British” came from the Romans
We arent Romans, we are Scots, a Celtic native type of people.
English

@HazelLyon16 @craig_mcleary You literally tried to claim that Scotland came into bring before being British was “invented” as you spuriously put it.
Your subjective identity doesn’t trump objective reality.
English

@HazelLyon16 We need a more concerted campaign from we, the people.
ALWAYS Scottish - never British.

Just a wee shoutout to the unionist tag team who spent days ratio-ing themselves, sending me bird books, dictionaries, and amateur psych analysis all because I said 'I'm Scottish, not British.' Oops, I said it again 🫢
Thanks for the engagement, pumpkins. You played yourselves. British optional? Still declined. The ratio? Perfect.
English

@GaryWhite1997 @jamesmuzanhy @IFBMedia Btw stop claiming James Connolly as yours then. Dont call a Chinese resturant a “Chinese”. Dont be a hypocrite 👍🏻
English

@Room3328 @jamesmuzanhy @IFBMedia What absolute stupid nonsense. What on earth has Glasgow celtic being in Scotland and physically in Scotland got to do with a “free stater 🤣🤣🤣 i get its history. That does NOT make it irish. Its Scottish 🤣
