What’s one slightly odd, but totally harmless habit you have? Mine is using matching coloured pegs for each item of washing on the line, in order of the rainbow song (red & yellow & pink & green…)

When I was a kid poverty meant you were cold and starving without a pot to piss in. It seems poverty now means that you can’t upgrade your phone every year and your trainers might embarrass you in front of your home boys

@Amandae4sm6 @dghodgson We moved to be nearer grandchildren (our choice 😉). We are not “needed” for childcare, but appreciated when we are occasionally asked. Breakfast (& after school)clubs are not free! Parents pay-it isn’t the food that’s needed, but early work start times necessitate them!

It's been quite an eye opener to read a lot of posts from very adult children complaining that they're unlikely to get anything from their parents after they die, because they'll probably need to sell their homes to pay for a care home. Utterly beggars belief how selfish and calculating they can be. It makes me feel quite happy to be on my own frankly. When my lovely grandma became too old to live in her house, she moved into a housing association care home. The rent was very cheap and she lived there, very happily, until she died at nearly 100 years old. Her three children, one being my mum, loved her dearly and I'm sure it was their love and laughter that kept her going for as long as she did. None of them were left anything because she had nothing other than her pension and they made sure that she always spent that on doing nice things for herself. Oh, I tell a lie... there was a few thousands pounds that she left to a dogs and cats home. No one felt hard done by like the selfish buggers on here seem to. I cannot stand this attitude. It's as if they only spend time with their parents because they want to make sure they're left some money. I hate hypocrisy and greed.

@zoester73 @mikingram123 No very warm today. We’ve been to RHS Bridgewater with granddaughters (it was VERY busy)…..no coats, hoodies and cardigans tied around our waists all day. Ice cream almost melted. ☺️

@HelenDa99530888 @irenep671 There's a system in most trusts for serious things that need immediate attention to be flagged (although not fool proof) The NHS is good at timely care for serious conditions. It's not good at getting back to people with routine findings quickly, but that's largely acceptable

Why does it take 4 to 6 weeks in NHS for MRI reports to be generated when PRIVATE MRI can be turned round in less than 24 hours ; on an EASTER BANK HOLIDAY?

@cartmell_lynda @marksandspencer The cafes are often filled with Pensioners keeping warm (yes, I am one too) taking their time over 1 tea/coffee for a chat.Try taking 2 grandchildren to an M&S cafe, balance a tray, hold hands with grandchildren and find an empty table. Impossible……that is why they are closing!

@marksandspencer The area where the 3 un-used cashier desks are could be taken away and used instead of taking away the cafè. I’m sure you are aware of the many elderly who go to the cafè as it is easy for them to get there and yet @marksandspencer again choose to put ££ first.

So I went to @marksandspencer Dunblane at 1020 am today, there were 6 tills..one with a cashier…and 6 ‘self serve’. If I wanted to be a cashier I’d do so, I have no wish to be an unpaid cashier for @marksandspencer Pray tell,do you actually have any respect for your customers?

@VerhofstadtQ @amdamsky Sooo…..the “rich pensioners “ have to move/downsize to an area away from their supportive friends /family so the “poor youngsters ” are able to buy that half a million house? 🫣😉🥴😂😂😂😂

As part of the pensions argument, some people keep referring to old people being wealthy due to the value of their home. It's irrelevant. I don't care whether my house is worth £500,000 or 50 quid. I live here, I'm staying here, I'll probably die here, so the money means nothing.

@but_cyclists So why did you scream "wooah"? Like there was a close shave? He clearly saw them after he did his dickhead move and stopped easily. It was just shockingly bad driving which didn't need the exaggeration - it spoke for itself.

@JacquelineBolto @marksandspencer @cartmell_lynda Wow…retail staff really do get enough aggro without ‘entitled customers’ posting grievances on Social Media. Report a staff member & get them disciplined? Only 1 manned till open…..not prepared to wait for essential shopping?

@marksandspencer @cartmell_lynda Last weekend I used a self service till out of choice, I was aware that I would need staff member to approve the bottle of Port I was buying. Scanned my items, light flashed for help. Staff member completely ignored me so reported them to store manager 😞

Yesterday I bought this #milk from @coopuk in Morton-in-Marsh. It's 4.5% fat, just as the cow produced it, it's not been homogenised and it's in a glass bottle. Why can't more #supermarket milk be like this? Even better if you could return the empty bottle for re-fill.
