I have found my people. 🥹

@Amandae4sm6 @dghodgson David mentioned breakfast clubs (free?….only herein UK if family meet a certain criteria).Does USA have free breakfast clubs?
English

@Amandae4sm6 @dghodgson We moved to be nearer grandchildren (our choice 😉). We are not “needed” for childcare, but appreciated when we are occasionally asked. Breakfast (& after school)clubs are not free! Parents pay-it isn’t the food that’s needed, but early work start times necessitate them!
English

@dghodgson SAME HERE. But, it doesn’t make me unaware that young people have it financially WAY harder than we did then.
English

@HeatherBo63 My Nan(Mum’s Mum)became frail after my Dad died young -family assumed my Mum would take her in.Mum was still grieving & it was too much. No-one else volunteered (or wanted her😡).Care home booked-family member wanted some of inheritance paid”now”-son was moving & cash poor!

It's been quite an eye opener to read a lot of posts from very adult children complaining that they're unlikely to get anything from their parents after they die, because they'll probably need to sell their homes to pay for a care home.
Utterly beggars belief how selfish and calculating they can be.
It makes me feel quite happy to be on my own frankly. When my lovely grandma became too old to live in her house, she moved into a housing association care home. The rent was very cheap and she lived there, very happily, until she died at nearly 100 years old. Her three children, one being my mum, loved her dearly and I'm sure it was their love and laughter that kept her going for as long as she did. None of them were left anything because she had nothing other than her pension and they made sure that she always spent that on doing nice things for herself. Oh, I tell a lie... there was a few thousands pounds that she left to a dogs and cats home. No one felt hard done by like the selfish buggers on here seem to.
I cannot stand this attitude. It's as if they only spend time with their parents because they want to make sure they're left some money. I hate hypocrisy and greed.

@zoester73 @mikingram123 No very warm today. We’ve been to RHS Bridgewater with granddaughters (it was VERY busy)…..no coats, hoodies and cardigans tied around our waists all day. Ice cream almost melted. ☺️
English

@mikingram123 I don’t believe you. It’s mandatory to have rain in Manchester all year round! 🤣
English

@monacolec @clo_reads Rice Crispies or Sugar Puffs are better. 😉
English

@RobSetters @HelenDa99530888 @irenep671 This…..👆🏼. Bad news is delivered quicker than routine findings.
English

@HelenDa99530888 @irenep671 There's a system in most trusts for serious things that need immediate attention to be flagged (although not fool proof)
The NHS is good at timely care for serious conditions. It's not good at getting back to people with routine findings quickly, but that's largely acceptable
English

@Badjer_UK @james_xond I still have my old Nokia……no sim in it, but charged regularly. Special family dates will never be forgotten. 😘

English

@james_xond Home phone, then there was this strange phase of having pagers, then mobiles - Nokia 3210 was when it kinda went mainstream. Text message mainly, 10p each.

@cartmell_lynda @marksandspencer The cafes are often filled with Pensioners keeping warm (yes, I am one too) taking their time over 1 tea/coffee for a chat.Try taking 2 grandchildren to an M&S cafe,balance a tray, hold hands with grandchildren and find an empty table. Impossible……that is why they are closing!
English

@marksandspencer The area where the 3 un-used cashier desks are could be taken away and used instead of taking away the cafè. I’m sure you are aware of the many elderly who go to the cafè as it is easy for them to get there and yet @marksandspencer
again choose to put ££ first.
English

So I went to @marksandspencer Dunblane at 1020 am today,there were 6 tills..one with a cashier…and 6 ‘self serve’.
If I wanted to be a cashier I’d do so, I have no wish to be an unpaid cashier for @marksandspencer
Pray tell,do you actually have any respect for your customers?
English

@gasugasu1984 Yes……asking if you can play with them next time? ⚽️😉☺️
English

@VerhofstadtQ @amdamsky Sooo…..the “rich pensioners “ have to move/downsize to an area away from their supportive friends /family so the “poor youngsters ” are able to buy that half a million house? 🫣😉🥴😂😂😂😂
English

@Drusilla451 @DawnCampion2 @PhilSledge We had muffins yesterday…..they were the base of our Egg Benedict Brunch. We have crumpets with marmite & melted grated cheese…..usually for a lunch. 😊
English

@DawnCampion2 @PhilSledge Nope crumpets
English muffins nothing like that
Muffins on the left
Crumpets on the right

English

@cartmell_lynda @JacquelineBolto @marksandspencer Jaqueline reported a staff member….comment on your thread re SS tills?
English

@Ros_Shorten @JacquelineBolto @marksandspencer Could you explain what you are attempting to say…I’m not giving ‘aggro’ to the staff, I’m calling out the managers and CEO whose main goal is profit 🤑
English

@99Maybelater99 @but_cyclists There were others waiting to cross! 🚶🏻🚶♀️🚶🏻
English

@but_cyclists So why did you scream "wooah"? Like there was a close shave?
He clearly saw them after he did his dickhead move and stopped easily.
It was just shockingly bad driving which didn't need the exaggeration - it spoke for itself.
English

@JacquelineBolto @marksandspencer @cartmell_lynda Wow…retail staff really do get enough aggro without ‘entitled customers’ posting grievances on Social Media. Report a staff member & get them disciplined? Only 1 manned till open…..not prepared to wait for essential shopping?
English

@marksandspencer @cartmell_lynda Last weekend I used a self service till out of choice, I was aware that I would need staff member to approve the bottle of Port I was buying. Scanned my items, light flashed for help. Staff member completely ignored me so reported them to store manager 😞
English

@realsb4feelings @Issamadwurld @RecyclerBill @MisterBeergut @coopuk Soooo…you are intelligent, but not educated? 🥴🤔😉
English

@Ros_Shorten @Issamadwurld @RecyclerBill @MisterBeergut @coopuk There's a a difference between intelligence and education.
Your son has been educated that raw milk is bad but intelligence tells me that doesn’t make sense
English

Yesterday I bought this #milk from @coopuk in Morton-in-Marsh.
It's 4.5% fat, just as the cow produced it, it's not been homogenised and it's in a glass bottle.
Why can't more #supermarket milk be like this?
Even better if you could return the empty bottle for re-fill.

Abingworth, England 🇬🇧 English

@realsb4feelings @Issamadwurld @RecyclerBill @MisterBeergut @coopuk Maybe we should agree to disagree…..next time you need abx ask a farmer? 😂😂😂
English

@realsb4feelings @Issamadwurld @RecyclerBill @MisterBeergut @coopuk Your choice…not everyone can be sure they won’t be affected by possible bacteria. Which is why it is only sold direct (small quantities) from farms & not in supermarkets. Son’s PhD degree? TB in humans and all animals (cattle included).
English

@Ros_Shorten @Issamadwurld @RecyclerBill @MisterBeergut @coopuk I thought I didn’t like milk until I started buying raw milk, now I drink it every day
English

@realsb4feelings @Issamadwurld @RecyclerBill @MisterBeergut @coopuk General public? From a farm in small quantities for those who know they aren’t vulnerable health wise.
English

@Ros_Shorten @Issamadwurld @RecyclerBill @MisterBeergut @coopuk It is sold to the general public, I buy it all the time, from a farm where I can see and touch the cows
But you keep drinking your government approved slop if it makes you happy
English

@realsb4feelings @Issamadwurld @RecyclerBill @MisterBeergut @coopuk I drink black (am I allowed to say that now? ) coffee.
English
