@Dalrymple I read this book and this review misses the point. The problems with marriage are real that she highlights are real regardless of the progress that has been made. No she doesn’t talk about hope in marriage because she’s not fighting for it she’s fighting for herself.

Marriage may be in trouble bc it's becoming less popular (a common argument made from the center-right).
But there's no question the concept itself has become more equitable and more inclusive over the last century. I don't see how that can be framed as a collapsing edifice.

@jenni_tabler When view through the lens of her In-laws her content seems pretty on par. Again, sorry for any offense. If anything just know I’ll be ready with a bat when I see anyone remotely coming at a Mormon adjacent woman about her clothes. (Even if I misunderstand 😂)

@jenni_tabler I don’t get the impression that she is making content for Mormons. I think she is interesting in the sense that her exposure to the church is through an LDS family that is very comfortable living outside of the cookie cutter Mormon box.

@jenni_tabler Apologies for misunderstanding. Your tweet seems very much focused on her not wearing garments and doesn’t mention a shift in content curation in Mormonism. Maybe it’s elsewhere? We were all reduced to what we wore as young women which is why I bristle when I see it repeated.
