@JRonai Toledo central catholic is my Alma mater and I played basketball there. (Played = sat at the end of the bench 🤣). Watched their game tonight. A tough loss for those guys!!!

@USCCB How about the blindness of the Catholic Church to speak out strongly against abortion??? Keehner himself has stated he’s too “afraid” to speak out against abortion from the pulpit!!! Why are our faith leaders so blind on this moral evil???

@emzanotti @AndrewARay The problem as I see it as a lifelong Catholic is that while it is a TEACHING of the church that abortion is a grave evil, the TEACHERS (priests) of the church rarely talk about it. My own priests/deacons say this isnt a “topic for the pulpit” which means no one hears this.

I lost a big chunk of my tradcath audience in the late days of my time at the publication/podcast I founded because I said COVID wasn't a hoax, was an actual health threat, and that initial lockdown procedures were probably warranted as they tried to assess the danger.
I didn't back down.
When I realized I could no longer profess my creed with honesty, I made a personal commitment to uphold the mission of my publication despite my internal doubts until I could find someone to take it over who believed in it. Then I immediately stepped down.
It cost me a ton of money. Five years later, I still haven't rebuilt a career. I've lost everything.
I still have no regrets about not selling out. You can't pay me enough to lie to people who care enough to listen to me.

@crean_fr @AMJalsevac Very few do - and I’ve asked many to preach against these evils. I’ve come to the conclusion 99.9% of Catholic leaders aren’t opposed to abortion even though the faith is clear on this sin.

After almost 25 years of priesthood and having lived in 9 dioceses in 5 countries, I don't remember any of the bishops ever saying anything, e.g. in a sermon or a pastoral letter, about contraception or IVF. This is a bit discouraging. I suppose I might just have missed it.
