Theres not a lot of upside to this situation but i presume Union St will be shut for a while . Could be an opportunity to take stock of a lot of different aspects of whats going on in it inside and outside these buildings including the traffic and safety issues.

Having a child is a huge decision, if you can’t afford to raise that child and expect taxpayers to subsidise you, then maybe having a child isn’t for you.

You are totally delusional, you forget to factor in so many other things, the salaries were tiny in comparison to later days, people didn't have cars, foreign holidays, interest rates weren't high, do some research into the finances of the era you are talking about rather than swallow the propaganda.
