There's a reason Rotary members are called "People of Action." In March, Rotarians from France and Belgium joined local Rotarians and more than 125,000 personnel to support Ethiopia's nationwide polio vaccination campaign. Check out the story 👉 endpol.io/4djRwAd #EndPolio

What does it take to sail around the world solo in a small boat? Rotarian Jasmine Harrison just showed us. After 381 days and 26,000 nautical miles, she completed the Mini Globe Race, becoming the first British woman to do so solo in a 19-ft boat. #PeopleOfAction

Thank you @Rotary and @FCDOGovUK for your unwavering and long-standing partnership in the global effort to #EndPolio. Together with partners, we are very close to eradicating this crippling disease. Today, polio remains endemic in only two countries – Pakistan and Afghanistan. Let’s finish this last mile.

After the U.S. introduced the polio vaccine in 1955, polio cases in the U.S. dropped to fewer than 100 per year within a decade. These historic images remind us how far we've come, and how critical it is to keep going to #EndPolio everywhere. theatlantic.com/photography/ar…

The support of @Rotary for polio eradication remains a lifeline for the programme. Grateful to President Francesco Arezzo for prioritizing Pakistan in his first international visit, as the country intensifies efforts to #EndPolio @EndPolioNow
Pak Fights Polio@PakFightsPolio

A high-level delegation from Rotary International, led by President Mr. Francesco Arezzo, met with the Prime Minister’s Focal Person for Polio Eradication, Ms. Ayesha Raza Farooq, today at the National Emergency Operations Centre, Islamabad. The delegation also included Mr. Holger Knaack, Chair of the Rotary Foundation; Mr. Mike McGovern, Chair of the International PolioPlus Committee; Mr. Aziz Memon, National Chair of the Pakistan PolioPlus Committee; and local representatives from Rotary’s Islamabad Chapter. Welcoming the delegation, Ms. @AyeshaRaza13 said: "It is a great honor that Rotary’s new President has chosen Pakistan among his first visits. This reflects Rotary’s deep commitment to polio eradication." In her remarks, the PM’s Focal Person highlighted recent programme gains, including improved campaign quality, a decline in polio cases compared to last year—especially in the Quetta block—and sustained high-level political commitment. She also noted the challenges that remain in certain areas, particularly South KP. The PMFP further thanked Rotary, on behalf of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, for its steadfast support to Pakistan’s polio eradication efforts. Rotary President Mr. Francesco Arezzo appreciated the tireless efforts of the PM’s Focal Person and acknowledged her leadership in driving Pakistan’s progress against polio. He emphasized that with global funding shrinking, it is more important than ever to remain united in the last mile of eradication. #EndPolio #PolioFreePakistan

During my recent visit to Peshawar, Pakistan, I met with incredible women health workers leading efforts to end polio in their communities. Recognizing and supporting both women and men frontline health workers must be at the heart of our strategy – not just as a box to tick, but as a powerful driver of better health outcomes for all. As Gender Champion of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, I am proud to stand with these dedicated frontline heroes working to protect every child from polio. @UNAMAnews | @unafghanistan

At #Rotary25, we couldn't agree with @DrTedros more: "Rotary's mantra is the audacity to start the job, the tenacity to finish it. You had the audacity to dream of eradicating polio, and I know you have the tenacity to finish the job." Together, we can #EndPolio.
